Gavin Henson has had an eventual week or two! After a flight home with his Rugby Union team, Cardiff Blues, Gavin found himself in hot water due to some ice cube incidents. It's believed that ice cubes were thrown by Henson during a flight home, He is reported to have been drunk at the time. Poor Gavin ended up being sacked by his club and one of of his sponsors, Nestle, also decided to distance themselves. However, Brits Bingo have decided to stand by their man according to a report by Wales Online. Brits Bingo say that they "don't condone his behaviour", "he's a lovely guy and a real gentleman" and that "things just get blown out of all proportion".
The decision by Brits Bingo to stand by their man is in marked contrast to that of Foxy Bingo. Foxy decided it was best to distance themselves from Stacey Soloman after her smoking whilst pregnant revelations. Stacey was dropped from the Celebrity Mum of the Year shortlist after The People broke their story!
Brits Bingo, who have just celebrated their first birthday, obviously feel that with Henson that they have benefited whilst his stock has been high. They also probably feel that there's more mileage in their relationship - Henson, who has two children with Charlotte Church, doesn't strike us as the type of person who won't be back in the spotlight.
Only time will tell whether their decision to stick with Gavin pays off! Let's hope he repays the faith shown in him - because in bingo terms, he's on 1TG before Brits Bingo show him the door!
