Carlton Bingo Review
Carlton Bingo have a number of real bingo halls located in various locations in Scotland. These include EBuckle, Dalkeith, Dunfermline, East Kilbride, Elgin, Fraserburgh, Inverness, Livingstone, Partick and Stirling. Up until June 2016 they also had an online presence on the IGT/G2Tech platform (formerly St Minver). However after the closure of that network Carlton decided to create a brand new site. It was launched in August 2016 on the Jumpman Gaming powered 15 Network. This platform offers players access to a selection of bingo rooms powered by Pragmatic Play and a wide variety of online slots. In more recent times a second brand, Carlton Games, has been added to their portfolio although there's absolutely nothing different between the two sites!
Introducing Carlton Bingo
Like many of the original brands to launch on the 15 Network, Carlton Bingo has been revamped. The new look site is very basic. The main site is dominated by a blue background and the welcome offer. There's very little - other than the brand - to associate the site with Carlton's Bingo Clubs. There's no reference to them on the site nor any link to community pages etc. Visit Mecca or Buzz for example and the offline bingo product is part of the online product. We think Carlton have missed a trick by not bringing their halls and online presence together. However we do have to note that at least on Carlton Games this omission has been fixed. It seems odd they can manage it with one site and not the other.
Carlton Bingo Welcome Bonus
Join Carlton Bingo as a new player and deposit £10 or more to get a spin of the Mega Wheel. Spinning the Mega Wheel gives you the chance to win up to 500 spins on slots like Starburst and Fluffy Favourites. On a spin you could also win Amazon vouchers. Any wins from slot spins are paid as a bonus and wagering terms of a x65 requirement apply. Further spins of the Mega Wheel are available when complete various tasks. Note that Carlton do not offer a bingo bonus for first deposits or reloads. In our view it's not the most attractive of deals for bingo players. We should also note that whilst you could win up to 500 spins, you can also come away with nothing.
Carlton Bingo Rooms
Carlton's bingo rooms are powered by Pragmatic Play, the same company who also provide rooms for Heart and PlayOJO. Login to the lobby and you will find 75, 80 and 90 ball rooms which also offer some chat and access to mini games. To find the rooms you need to select 'Games' from the top menu and then 'Bingo' from the sub-menu once on the games page. The main rooms The Jackpot Room, Country Road, Heavyweight and Boombox are joined by a handful of jackpot rooms like Friday Fun, Bingo Blast and others. Jumpman sites used to host the Bingo Millions 90 multi-player game but for whatever reasons this has now been dropped. As of December 2021 it does seem that the instant win games have also been scuttled. That's not a surprise as they weren't very good. There aren't any exclusive rooms for Carlton Bingo players.
Carlton Games
If you're a fan of the slots then Carlton Bingo - or Carlton Games if you prefer - gives you access to a brilliant selection. Recent additions include Red Diamond, Buffalo King, Snake, Clover Riches and Montezuma Megaways. These are joined by favourites like Starburst, Rainbow Riches, Gonzo's Quest and Shaman's Dream. Progressive slot titles and other Megaways titles are available plus there's a smattering of casino games. When the brand launched online live casino games weren't available but today you can now enjoy live roulette and live blackjack options. However you won't find Live Game Shows such as Mega Ball, Crazy Time and Buffalo Blitz Live.
Carlton Bingo Promotions
Player promotions at Carlton Bingo are the standard ones offered by Jumpman to all sites. These include a new Rewards Reel for qualifying depositors, Happy Hour every Wednesday and extra spins of The Mega Reel on deposits of £20 or more. Note that wagering terms still apply to these extra spins of the Mega Reel. A trophies scheme is also in play and this gives players opportunities for further turns on the Mega Reel. Players can increase their status and earn trophies by wagering and completing challenges. Tournaments and prize draws from slot providers regularly take place every month. Winner Winner Chicken Dinner is another network promo that pays out a £50 Just Eat voucher to the biggest winner across the whole platform - not just one site - which we think is pretty tight!
Our Verdict
When we initially review Carlton Bingo we said that "we'd like to see more integration with their Carlton Clubs pages and a few more exclusives". The latter could even simply be special bonuses for their club members! Not a lot has really happened at this brand in almost four years. It doesn't seem to sit well with the Carlton Clubs. Ultimately Carlton Bingo is a 15 Network skin but with a more well known brand attached to it. That's not a bad thing, it's just not as exciting or compelling for players who may not be familiar with their offline presence. The limited online bingo offering is frustrating although we do like the selection of slots. All players should also be aware that all withdrawals now incur a £2.50 admin fee. If you're a member of a Carlton Club in Scotland you might want to check out the Carlton Clubs website and Facebook. For online bingo you may wish to go elsewhere and the same applies if you've never heard of Carlton.
