Polo Bingo Review
Polo Bingo launched in 2010 and announced it's presence on the scene by giving players the chance to win a car. The site is run by the same people who own Moon Bingo and it operates on the Dragonfish platform. These days you won't find anything car or mint like at Polo, instead you'll find a very basic look, plenty of deep reds and a sultry lady in a top hat at a roulette table. She's hoping that as "it's play time" then that will be enough to make you take a look round the bingo rooms and slots that are on offer.
Introducing Polo Bingo
Polo claims that it sets the stage for a "glamourous bingo experience". We quite like the red background of the homepage but we're a little bemused by the lady and her roulette wheel. She does seem to be holding some kind of bingo wand too. We're also confused by the brand name as the word polo conjures up images of a car, a mint or a sport played by posh people. Still bingo brand names are a law unto themselves and quite often they don't have to mean anything. Our own now defunct Clucky and Snappy are testament to that.
Polo Bingo Welcome Offer
New players to Polo are welcomed with a 300% bonus offer on first deposit. Register, login and deposit £10 to receive £20 for bingo and £10 for games. Wagering terms apply and these are x4 (deposit + bonus) for the bingo element and x50 (deposit + bonus) for the slots bonus. These at first seem quite typical for Dragonfish brands but adding the deposit amount into the equation ramps up the terms considerably.
As is the case with most Dragonfish powered brands, Polo does offer new players free bingo games. Register with Polo as a newbie then login to access The Biggie, a free bingo room that is open for 3 days without deposit. To access the room again you'll need to make a £10 single deposit. Promotions
The Polo Bingo lobby looks old fashioned but inside you'll find a number of rooms offering 75 and 90 ball games. These include Share The Love, The Sauna and The Rehab. If you like something different then why not try the 52 ball Suit Up or 52 ball Roulette Bingo rooms. Look out too for daily jackpots such as the Up To £777 Mighty Nightly, Up To £500 Mystery Jackpot and Up To £250 Penny Bingo. Note that these are all sliding jackpot games.
Away from bingo there are plenty of slots to keep most players occupied when visiting the Polo Bingo launch. We're not totally convinced by the slots layout on Dragonfish but it's accessible on mobile, tablet and desktop. Amongst the popular games are Jumanji, Gonzo's Quest, Starburst, Eye Of Horus, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and Twin Spin. Slingo games are available but poorly advertised.
Our Verdict
When Polo Bingo launched many years ago, they had regular prize games and even gave away a new car. Unsurprisingly that car was VW Polo. With such an impressive start we hoped that more exclusive promotions and prizes would follow. Sadly this didn't happen and in many respects this has led to Polo falling well behind Robin Hood and Moon in the pecking order. When we last checked Polo they were very much active on Facebook but sadly their social media presence has ended.
There's plenty here for new and regular players. This includes the welcome offer, free bingo, selection of 75, 90 and 52 ball games plus slots. However like a lot of Dragonfish brands Polo just seems to be treading water. There's no exclusives or social media that enables it to stand out from the crowd. In fact since it's launch, a few welcome changes, and the VW Polo promotion it's hard to recall anything Polo has done unique in over 10 years. We think Moon or Robin Hood may be better options for newbies.
