Pirates Arrives At Tombola

You're invited to set sail and play for a tidy booty of cash to the sounds of sea shanties ala Captain Pugwash and yo ho hos! You can play for one line, a full house and a jackpot. 
Essentially Pirates is bingo but with the numbers replaced with piratey items such as Pugwash, Shark, Gummy, Levi, Veronica, Flintlock, Treasure, Abraham, Bomb, Burly Pete, Scurvy Rat and of course Captain Hook. The characters are quite funny as they have their own little message when they get drawn.
As a pirate item is turned, if you have it on your game card then it is covered with a gold coin. Get one line or a full house first and you're in the booty. For the jackpot you need to coverall in 26 calls or less. It's a beautiful looking game - and once again Tombola demonstrate their abilities at providing bingo players with quality. However, you kind of get the feeling that it's not really bringing anything new to the bingo table.
Mind you, given the numbers playing (238 in the 10p room at time of writing) it could well be that Tombola have played a Pirate Masterstroke. It will take a few weeks to see if this is a Pirates of the Caribbean type success or whether it's going to sink down to Davy Jones Locker. Go To Tombola |
