Mystery Spin Deluxe Megaways is a stylish looking 4 row, 6 reel fruit machine. It's set on a black techno-inspired background and features many familiar pokies icons. These include Lucky 7s, melons, oranges, grapes, lemons and cherries. These are joined by playing card symbols of 10, J, Q, K and A. The Lucky 7 is the highest paying symbol that pays x10 for a row of 6 on a win line.
How To Play
If you're not familiar with the Megaways engine then here's a brief overview. Firstly they are six reeled, but to achieve a win line icons need to appear on adjacent reels. However, unlike a tradition slot those icons don't need to be touching each other. A Megaways slot also features different sized icons. These don't effect the payouts but alter the number of win lines - or Megaways - that are available.
Wagering on Mystery Spin Deluxe Megaways starts at just 10p per spin. This can be increased to just £2 when wagering at Casumo. This is quite low when compared to other slots and Megaways games. There are also Mystery Symbols - these appear randomly on the reels and reveal themselves - one reel icon chosen at random - at the end of the spin.
An In Sync Feature can also occur. Up to 6 reels can spin with identical reels so when the turn concludes those in sync reels show the same symbols. Mystery Symbols can appear during In Sync and when this occurs only Mystery Symbols appear on the In Sync Reels.
The Verdict
We like the look of Mystery Spin Deluxe Megaways. It gives you a sense of playing a fruit machine but with a modern twist. However, the various features don't exactly excite us! On one hand In Sync and Mystery Symbols pop up regularly but rarely did they result in wins. In fact you can pretty much guarantee that In Sync on any reels other than when on 1, 2 and 3 will be pretty pointless.
Another issue is that payouts are quite poor. This slot has an RTP of 95% but rarely did we win more than we were wagering on a spin. In fact it's hard to see where the big wins would come from. Of course they should occur when there's an abundance of Megaways lines. The problem this is quite rare and by that time you've probably got a tad bored. Overall this is has a lot of style but there are better Megaways options.
