Why Loquax Has Voucher CodesOnline voucher codes really took off during Christmas 2008 and it was around this time that Loquax finally entered the sector. The reasons behind our new voucher codes are two fold. Firstly it made good business sense to offer our community of users access to the various codes and offers, and secondly we were unimpressed by the quality and business ethics of many of the sites involved in the space.
Pre 2009 many voucher code sites implemented "click to reveal" techniques to force users to set cookies for sites that often had no discounts or offers running. Whilst not acceptable, it was slightly more "above board" than the open iframe and 1x1 pixel settings some had employed before voucher codes became big online business.
The aim therefore was to provide a simple but effective discount code and deal section that was easy to use and that didn't employ "click to reveal".
Whilst our voucher code section will never scale the heights of more well known code sites, we have worked hard to integrate our service within the community. When entering competitions our users are made aware of any discounts we have for the site they're visiting. Likewise someone looking for a discount will find links to any relevant competitions too.
Promotion voucher codes isn't as easy as we first expected. Retailers don't always offer codes to everyone, some retailers don't want to be in a code directory (and will remove you from their affiliate program) and a certain stigma surrounds code affiliates, sadly in many cases justified.
However, we feel that it's an important part of Loquax and our aim is to develop our voucher code section beyond it's current basics of new codes, expiring codes and all discounts.
