Bet On Virtual Marble Racing
The number of virtual sports that are available to wager on continues to increase. At Bet365 for example they've just launched Virtual Basketball (June 2020). This joins traditional sports like football and horse racing plus a few oddities such as trotting and even darts. However these pale into insignificance with one of the newest additions at Sun Bingo. Sun Bingo launched it's Virtual Sports channel during 2020 and offer players access to horses, dogs, motor racing, US Football and Basketball. But the pièce de résistance surely must be Marble Racing! Yes you can bet on marbles racing.
Marbles races take place every two minutes throughout the day. In each race there are 10 marbles and these are released from wooden ramps down a sandy course complete with obstacles such as hoops and propellers. The course does seem to vary for each race. The video above isn't the actual virtual racing arena but it gives you an idea of how marble racing works. Your task is to determine which of the 10 marbles will come home first. In addition you place forecast and tricast bets. Unlike other racing games, such as greyhounds and horses, all the marbles have an equal chance of winning. This means they all have the same odds of 8/1. Predict a top two placement for 80/1 or a top three finish with odds of 647/1.
Marble Racing Strategy
To help you decide a "strategy" the losing streak of each marble is shown at the end of each race. For example at time of writing the number eight ball had had a 30 race losing streak. However it's important to remember that the result is determined by a random number generator and there's probably little strategy to consider. It's perhaps not a surprise that Sun Bingo are hosting Marble Racing whilst bookies like Paddy Power and Coral aren't offering the game. In our view it's more of a fun game to play and akin to Hamster Racing that's hosted at Tombola.
In our view Marble Racing is a strange addition to the Virtual Sports world, but by the same token it's entertaining. What we like about it is that your selection isn't swayed by trying to apply real world thinking to a virtual game. All the marbles have the same starting odds so your selection is simply down to colour or number. In many ways it epitomises how a virtual sports game actually works. Additionally you can see that the odds are in the house's favour because you're laying 8/1 on the chances of 1 marble winning out of 10.
