Following their move to a Cozy Games platform, Game Village Bingo are stepping up their online presence with a new TV campaign - their first one we believe. They've adopted an interesting idea for their campaign. In the advert (see below) they use bingo lingo such as 'Legs 11' and 'Stuck In A Tree' in a similar way to Cockney Rhyming Slang.
So what we get from Game Village is two ladies chatting about how their cat was stuck in a tree and was rescued by a tasty looking guy. It doesn't really tell us that much about the bingo that's on offer at the site although we are told about a nice new free bingo bonus offer that's also part of the campaign.
For a limited period new players to the new Game Village Bingo site can pick up a £5 free no deposit bonus. This is in addition to the 400% first deposit bonus that's been standard since the move to Cozy Games. As usual wagering terms and conditions will apply and currently the free bonus is expected to end on the 5th May 2015.
As part of the Bingo Lingo advert, Game Village have introduced a hashtag so that players can "join in the conversation". We're not sure these social aspects of ads actually work and a quick Twitter and Facebook search for #BingoLingo didn't yield many results. Game Village Bingo shouldn't feel down about this though - other brands have also struggled in this department.
The advert is fun though and it'll be interesting to see whether it's a one off or the start of a series for Game Village. The difficulty they may have is shoehorning bingo lingo phrases into something meaningful. Mind you, give then it's election time we wonder whether an ad featuring 'Who will be in Cameron's Den' would be permissible?
