Welcome To The Foxy Fabulous
Added on Wednesday 18th December 2019
There are downsides of Foxy Bingo moving to another platform plus stricter UKGC guidelines. The main one being that historic Foxy TV adverts have been consigned to the Youtube bin. Classics such as You're The One That I Want, The Foxy Prize Bus and Llandofbingogogoch can now only be found via unofficial channels.
That's not to say Foxy are no longer doing TV ads. Welcome To The Foxy Fabulous is their latest offering. It goes back to the days when Foxy was Foxy and not Heather Locklear in a costume. We have to say that we think this is a good decision, although it does feel like that whole episode has gone down as a Bobby Ewing moment. With the demise of Foxy Casino it's now pretty much totally forgotten!
Whilst Welcome To The Foxy Fabulous does take us back to the origins of the fox, it does lack the big show numbers of old. Instead we see Foxy plus a group of friends in a coffee shop - possibly designed to resemble Friends - enjoying a drink and playing bingo on their tablets. To indicate that they're fans of the site all the players have fox tails. Note that if you do play at Foxy Bingo you will not sprout a tail.
One player is new to the proceedings and getting her tail. Therefore she is welcome to the Foxy Fabulous. One thing we don't understand is that she knocks over a coffee with her tail. It's not the coffee on the tall table because that's intact but there are no shorter tables nearby. Presumably it's an edit of a longer version of the advert, but we can't find anything online. Frustratingly that seems to be the case when it comes to Youtube and gambling adverts.
One thing that you'll notice in the advert is that there are no offers or promotions highlighted. This means Foxy are using the advert purely for branding purposes. We think it also means that it can be shown during the day. One thing we do know though is that this particular video is incredibly popular. It's racked up an incredible 1.3Million views since November 2019. Comparatively a "Tail Spotting" version of the ad has only been seen 199 times!
A New Year used to be the start of a new Foxy Bingo campaign. The expectation for a new advert was akin to the John Lewis Christmas ad - at least in bingo circles. Sadly that's most certainly not going to be the case this time or indeed any time soon. Still a Foxy going back to it's roots is a good thing. Maybe in time we'll start seeing a song and dance routine again too.
