Getting your bingo website to stand out from the crowd is a tough gig these days. Names are at a premium and it's evident that newcomers to the market are struggling to be inventive. The issue isn't new as the video below from Jake Yapp demonstrates. Jake gets himself into a frenzy trying to come up with a fabulous new name for a bingo site.
To aide (!) future newcomers to the bingo world we've introduced a useful tool - The Bingo Brand Name Generator. Utilising secret scientific algorithms and minutes of development you can quickly generate a fabulous new bingo name in seconds. All you need to do is answer a few questions and a team of underpaid but incredibly bright ducks will select a word at random for you. We expect it won't be long before 'Jackpot Jeed Bingo', 'Zion Bingo' and 'Bingo Brie' are being announced across the interweb!
Just in case you're wondering - we're sure you're not - 'jeed' is similar to 'geed' as in geeing a horse. We're not convinced that it would be a good name for a new bingo site, but then who knows these days. You can pretty much stick any word before of after the word 'Bingo' and you're halfway there.
The problem is that new bingo sites are not always thinking straight when they come to their final choice. If you look at the new sites that have launched recently we think more people will remember the likes of Rio and Bright Bingo than United Colours Of and Brand New! A good brand name tends to be short (e.g. Foxy, Wink, Costa). Something different can always be memorable although Loquax whilst different is often forgotten more times than we'd like (surprisingly less so once people remember the duck association).
Our Bingo Brand Name Generator is obviously a little bit of fun - it isn't easy to come up with a punchy name not only sounds good but is actually available to purchase as a domain. Even so there has to be better names before operators start resorting to United Colours, Buddha, Brand New and High Heels.... oh!
