Lottoland To Launch Pragmatic Play Bingo

Published On 10th July 2020

Lottoland are the latest brand to turn to Pragmatic Play for their online bingo rooms. The site that originally started out as a place where you could wager on lottery results has expanded in recent times to include scratchcards, slots, progressive jackpots and live casino. However they've never ventured into online bingo until now. The launch of Lottoland Bingo later this month is another step for Pragmatic Play who already power games on Jumpman, Nektan and LeoVegas brands.

Players heading to Lottoland will soon be able to enjoy 75, 80 and 90 ball bingo games in a selection of bingo rooms such as Boombox, Stars N Stripes and The Jackpot Room. In addition they will be able to play the exclusive Pragmatic Play game Bingo Blast. This 90 ball game takes players right to the heart of the action by speeding up the number calls. This means that you don't have to wait as long to see if your ticket will win the full house.

Big Name Brands

Lottoland is just one of a few big name brands that joined the Pragmatic Play Bingo bandwagon. Recently Mirror Bingo moved from Virtue Fusion to Jumpman who's bingo product is powered by Pragmatic Play. Joining them was their sister brands at Star Wins and Express Wins, gaming sites for Daily Star and Daily Express respectively. The LeoVegas group has also implemented the product so you'll find the rooms at the likes of Crown Bingo, Castle Jackpot and Legs 11.

As exciting as these launches and changes are the implementation of the Pragmatic Play bingo product doesn't necessarily excite players. It should be noted that these rooms are shared across different sites and different software including 170+ on the Jumpman platform. Despite this and despite the presence of big brands a number of the rooms remain pretty cold. At time of writing the 75 ball and 80 ball rooms have no players - and even if they did there's insufficient for the game to actually take place. The 90 ball room is more active though!

No Player Promotions

And whilst the 90 ball room is active and jackpot games such as Friday Fun attract players, Bingo Blast isn't that popular either. We wonder if this all could be down to lack of chat options, publicity and player promotions. Brands and networks are implementing the bingo product and then forgetting it or letting it do it's own thing. Players need to be convinced that it's worth their time and money to play otherwise they'll head to familiar turf at Tombola, Gala and Jackpotjoy.

Another issue is that players have - on brands such as Mirror Bingo and Crown Bingo - been familiar with other software. If what has been changed isn't the same or they've lost faith in the brand then convincing them to return will be hard. Whilst there is a newbies room there isn't much free bingo or incentive to try out the new set up. Hopefully Lottoland's arrival on this bandwagon will perk things up. If it does then it should have a knock on effect for other brands as the rooms become more active and in turn offer bigger jackpots. If things stay the same then Pragmatic Play and their partners will need to consider a new approach.
