Gala Bingo Launches Boss Benefits Rewards

Bingo brands love to reward their loyal players with bonuses, spins and free bingo games. Now Gala Bingo are going a step further and are giving qualifying players the chance to bank some Boss Benefits. These benefits include "over 100 super special online and in-store discounts for home, pamper and fitness, food and drink, days out, and more". We decided to take a closer look and see what exactly is on offer.
How To Get Boss Benefits
The Boss Benefits promotion initially runs until the 17th August 2021. To qualify you need to deposit and spend £80 within 28 days. Once you've qualified you'll then be sent an email inviting you to access www.bossbenefitscard.com to check out the rewards on offer. Note that your membership is only for 28 days after the email is sent to you. To continue taking part in the scheme you'll need to deposit and spend a further £80 over the next 28 days. If you don't reach the qualification limit then your access to the Boss Benefits site automatically is stopped. If you want take full advantage of the three months of this promotion then you'll need to deposit and spend £240.
What Are Boss Benefits?
We're not prepared to deposit and wager £80 (sorry) to check out what's on the other side of the Boss Benefits website, but we can figure things out by looking at the detail. Gala state that you'll be able to claim "discounts, deals & discounted gift cards, using online promotion codes & your Boss Benefits card". The scheme is managed by a company called TLC who are in fact TLC Marketing. They are responsible for the emails, account management and redemption of the various offers and rewards. For many people this may mean nothing but if you're a Vodafone customer then they're the same company that manages the VeryMe Rewards.
VeryMe Rewards
VeryMe Rewards offer "discounts, prize draws and even free giveaways from some of Britain’s best-loved brands". So we suspect that Boss Benefits will be very similar. According to Gala's terms an example of a benefit is "up to 8.5% off Costa Coffee and/or Rewards with various restaurants". An example we found for Vodafone in partnership with TLC Marketing was that they gave customers the chance to collect a free sausage roll at selected locations. More recently Verge Magazine put together an article highlighting that 120,000 customers were offered a free Easter Egg plus that there were some fabulous £10,000 prize bundles to be won.
Should You Be Tempted
Our advice with all qualification style promotions is don't be tempted to over-stretch yourself to get involved. If you budget £10 a week then stick to your budget. If however you spend £80 in 28 days then do take advantage of the Boss Benefits. They're an added extra and hopefully there's something in the mix that takes your fancy. If you end up winning a prize draw, getting a decent discount or picking up a freebie then that's good news. If you're on a similar scheme such as Vodafone's VeryMe then you might not find it as beneficial - as we suspect that the bulk of both schemes will consist of the same discounts.
More Details Needed
We are obviously speculating although with a strong argument, however it would be better - in our view - if Gala highlighted a few more potential Boss Benefits. The 8.5% off Costa Coffee isn't much of a benefit if like ourselves you don't frequent that particular company. We'd love to know if there are benefits that aren't available from the multitude of discount code sites that exist; if there are freebies like cinema tickets to be claimed; and whether they are running prize draws - and if so are those prize draws exclusive.
