Angry Bingo Review
Angry Bingo - No Wagering
Network building was the operative theme for online bingo in 2014. The Live Bingo Network and 15 Marketing were rapidly adding new assets to their roster but following behind them were Mandalay Media. They'd been happy with their flagship brand of Costa Bingo plus the likes of Fancy, City and Sing. However in 2014 they upped their game and their stable mushroomed.
Joining Rio and Wish Bingo in this expanding stable is the oddly titled Angry Bingo. At launch this site was some kind of homage to the popular Angry Birds game it featured some quite irate bingo ball characters and a bingo balled shaped pig. In 2017, the fun police put an end to their presence on the site and now it has a mountain scene as a backdrop to create Non-Angry Bingo!
New players to this version of Mandalay's expanding network are offered free bingo games in The Bingo Academy plus a welcome bonus. Deposit £10 to receive 120 free bingo tickets that can be used on selected games. Any wins from these tickets are paid in cash and no wagering terms apply. Once through this part of the joining process you're met with the same games, slots, and promos that you'd find elsewhere.
If you've not visited any of Angry's sister sites before then there's plenty here to enjoy. Each day at 9pm there are some jackpot games and these all have angry names such as Mad Money, Raging Riches, Cash Bomb, Wicked Wonga, Crackpot Jackpot, Free Spin Fury and Mental Money. Penny bingo players can enoy a £20 JP game every hour from 2pm to midnight in the raging room! Each Friday there's the "Fuming Fortune" which is the 5 x £1000 games you'll find on other sites - i.e. a freebie for depositors where prizes are all paid in cash.
As well as 52 ball bingo, 75 ball games and 90 ball games there's a fabulous selection of slots and instants to enjoy at Angry Bingo. These aren't highlighted as much as on many other sites, but there are easily accessible via the lobby - on both mobile and PC. For those of you who are interested the site uses the Dragonfish/Cassava platform. Top slots include games from Eyecon and Net Entertainment.
At launched we described Angry as "an interesting looking site with a name that may pique interest". We also said that "on the downside there's not a lot new to get excited about and whilst that doesn't anger us, it does leave us just a little frustrated". In 2018 there's a bit more to get angry about: The site has lost it's theme and has reduced free bingo, prizes and jackpots.
The Ignite group has numerous brands in it's stable and very few are now stand-out or offering exclusives. Sadly that's the way online bingo has become in recent years. That said Angry Bingo isn't a bad site. It just needs to be better in order to be different from Costa, Sing, City or Fancy. The bad news is that given that the brand has recently been purchased by 888 we don't expect Angry will develop any further from it's current set-up.
