Bingo Scotland Review
Bingo Scotland is a sister site to Think Bingo. It's been around for ages in online bingo terms and it now drifts along in comparison to bigger brands, such as Cheeky and Foxy, that now occupy this stable. Despite the name the site isn't just for Scots - anyone is welcome - but the idea behind the site was for it to be localised and attract ex-pats.
The Bingo Scotland site uses the Cassava bingo platform. In August/September 2011 the site switched to being a standalone bingo room and became part of the Cashcade network alongside ITV, Rollover and Telly Talk Bingo. In 2017, the site had a much needed upgrade - but lost it's unique Scottish independence!
Bingo Scotland Welcome Bonus
Bingo Scotland offer comparable bonuses to their networked sisters, with first time players receiving a 200% deposit bonus up to £100. Pay in £10 and they will give you a £20 bonus to spend on bingo - wagering terms apply! Sadly due to the Point of Consumption tax changes there are no longer reload bonuses available and we've not seen a bonus code for this brand in a long time. New players do however get access to a free bingo room for three days after registration.
Bingo Scotland used to have a forum, but that has long gone. The site also used to host two exclusive rooms - Hot Scots and True Blue but sadly these have now closed (September 2013). This is a sad indication of how much Bingo Scotland has declined over the last couple of years. What you do find inside the lobby is a mix of free bingo games, 75 ball rooms and 90 ball bingo. The number of rooms are limited and we were surprised to only see the one 90 ball room, Nifty Fifty, that was accessible to all players.
Free Bingo For Depositors
Note that if you want to play in the free rooms then you have to be a depositor. This is pretty much standard now for most of the Dragonfish/Cassava based sites. When we dropped in there were only a handful of players in the pay to play sections which is a concern. However the regular 9pm jackpot games still play so there are still some decent cash prizes to go for - albeit they are networked.
When Bingo Scotland became part of the Cashcade network in 2011, we feared for it's future, worried that it had been cast adrift to find it's own way. Sadly, this seems to have happened. The site has lost it's one big selling point - being aimed at Scottish bingo players - and now like BOGOF, another brand we've reviewed today it's raison d'etre has long gone. In our opinion, players would be better off with Cheeky or Foxy.
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we no longer endorse Bingo Scotland as a brand. Any links to Bingo Scotland will take you to alternative sites.
