Costa Bingo Review
Costa Bingo - No Wagering
When the sun is shining outside most people leave online bingo behind! However British summers tend to be short so thankfully the sun can now shine all day long thanks to Costa Bingo. They followed in the footsteps of Cheeky and Posh by being one of the first sites to offer players free bingo for real cash prizes. Costa have been around for a few years now, so so how have they weathered since we last took a look at their site?
Costa Bingo, which utilises the Dragonfish/Cassava platform, welcomes new players with a no deposit bonus and first deposit bonus. Details of the current welcome offer can be found above and below this review. Also provided are any significant wagering terms and conditions.
Free Bingo Rooms
One of the pivotal features of Costa Bingo over the years has been it's abundance of free bingo. This has changed in recent times with free bingo being scaled back across the Ignite network. However, new players can enjoy a day of free games - no deposit needed - in The Bingo Academy. Terms apply. Further freebies are available to depositing players.
In addition to the free bingo rooms you'll find 75 and 90 ball games. These can be easily accessed via desktop and mobile. Costa have also recently added Bingo Vegas to their site - this is essentially a 52 ball bingo game that uses playing cards as opposed to numbers. Both the 75 and 90 ball rooms have progressive jackpots plus you can play for a big cash prize daily at 9pm or 10pm. This includes the free for depositors 5 x £1000 games that play every Friday.
Shine Like A Diamond
As well as lots of free games, Costa Bingo run regular promotions with different prizes! Previous promotions include the chance to win cars, kitchen appliances, garden goodies, holiday vouchers, Merlin Family Annual passes, shopping breaks and even Mel B's boots! Keep an eye on their newsletters, Facebook and Twitter pages for the latest news and promotions.
Costa Bingo like to reward their players through their Diamond Club loyalty scheme. There are five different levels and each level gives additional benefits. For example, access to free VIP games and an increased birthday bonus. Players earn one diamond for every £1 staked on bingo or slots, which means you can earn as you play, not on deposits.
All players start in at the introductory Blue VIP level which gives access to the free VIP games where Costa have £2,250 up for grabs in jackpots daily! Diamonds can be exchanged for free bingo cards, bonuses and cash.
Costa also reward their bingo players with their Costa Points which are redeemable into bonus cash. Points can be earned when buying 10p or 25p bingo cards and 1000 points is equal to £1. These can also be earned by taking part in chat games and by referring friends to Costa. Join in the Costa Chat Tourneys to increase your Costa Point Balance with 50,000 Diamonds up for grabs in the weekend ones!
Mel B & Johnny Vegas
A few years ago, Costa Bingo pulled out a massive coup by signing Mel B as the brand's celebrity endorser. This was perhaps the high point for them. No one can possibly forget seeing a giant Scary Spice trampling London in one of their adverts. More recently the site turned to Johnny Vegas to voice over one of their adverts, but this was a shortlived affair.
Costa Bingo seem to have retreated on themselves since the days of Mel B featured on the site. The promotions don't seem as grand as in previous times but to be fair this is an occurrence on all the big Dragonfish brands such as Foxy and Wink. We think that the expansion of the Costa network has perhaps diluted it's appeal to players but in our view it's still a good site.
