Mecca Bingo Review
Mecca Bingo are one of the biggest brands in the bingo world. In 2015 they successfully merged their online and mobile gaming activity with that of their offline clubs. They are the brand that brought us a dancing twerking cactus and more recently the Meccarena. It's not always been plain sailing for Mecca Bingo online as in the early days they lagged well behind their Gala rivals. Nowadays though they're really giving them a run for their money.
In 2015 the Mecca Bingo website had a big makeover to make it more mobile/tablet friendly. It also sadly saw the departure of Dr Paula Legg and her assortment of strange advertising fellows including that cactus. This has all resulted in one of the best sites around! It offers a good range of games, a good mix of promotions, an active community and plenty more besides.
New players are welcomed with a decent first deposit offer of spend £10 to receive a 300% bonus. In addition to the £30 to play online there's also a £10 voucher to play in clubs. One thing worth noting about Mecca's online bonus is that it can only be used for bingo. A number of other Virtue Fusion network brands offer a similar bonus but the bonus is shared for gaming and bingo - and gaming tends to come with a higher wagering term. Wagering terms do apply and this is set at x2.
Mecca Bingo can be played via desktop but the site is well set up for mobile users. Apps are available for Android and iPhone users too. The app and mobile versions give you access to the bingo rooms plus the many slots that are available to enjoy.
Exclusive Bingo Rooms
Although Mecca Bingo share some of it's 75 and 90 ball bingo rooms across a network, there are plenty of exclusives. These include The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent rooms. Joining them are Emoji Bingo and Burst Bingo. One of our favourite exclusives, Blockbuster Bingo, sadly didn't last long at the site. Ticket prices range from pennies to pounds and there's plenty of options here for players.
Slots do play a part at Mecca Bingo and there are regular promotions for those players who enjoy a spin or two. Amongst the games featured you'll find Merlin's Millions, Super Monopoly Money, Wheel Of Fortune, OMG Kittens, Rainbow Riches, Cleopatra and Golden Goddess. These can all be played via freeplay but you do now need to login. Most slots are accessible via mobile/tablet.
Everyone's A Winner
Promotions are where Mecca Bingo really do well and have improved considerably over their rivals. Over recent months they've offered holidays, cash and even cars in a variety of promos such as Everyone's A Winner. They regularly host prize games and there's usually always something exclusive alongside the many Virtue Fusion jackpots and offers that run every month. As well as exclusives on the website you'll also find them on the busy and regularly updated Mecca Bingo Facebook page.
The above doesn't even cover the many other elements of what you can find at Mecca Bingo. If you're a club player then there's information about the latest promotions for you. There's also regularly updates about Mecca's charity work under Rank Cares. At time of writing they're supporting Carers Trust and raising funds in a number of ways including hosting special games at the start of every month.
This review probably doesn't come close to giving Mecca Bingo the kudos it deserves, especially given that we remember it when it was an ugly site with little going for it. An ugly duckling has truly become a glorious beautiful swan. If you're new to playing bingo online then this is one site to consider trying first.
