Sun Bingo Review
Sun Bingo has had a very interesting online history. It started life in 2006 as a standalone site. In 2008, they moved to join the Jackpotjoy stable whilst the old Sun Bingo changed it's name. That site became Tombola, the UK's Biggest Bingo Site! Isn't it funny how things work out? After a few successful years with Gamesys, Sun Bingo now resides on the Virtue Fusion set up.
Like many industry observers, we were surprised to see Sun Bingo switch from Gamesys to Virtue Fusion. Even more so when they painstakingly made efforts to make the transition seamless. We're not totally convinced that the platform change has been successful. Most certainly the updated Gamesys platform is more appealing than the current Sun Bingo set up.
Sun Bingo Welcome Bonus
New players to Sun Bingo are currently offered a 400% welcome bonus. Deposit and spend £10 and receive a £40 bonus (x3 bingo bonus, x30 games bonus). Do be aware that only bingo play will give a 100% contribution to clearing the term. If you play slots or roulette then the contribution is lower. Blackjack and Snap wagering will not help clear the wagering term at all. That said this is one of the better ts&cs and it makes getting your winnings out a lot easier.
Although there's not a no deposit bonus as such, newbies can access the Learner Room for 7 days to play free games. This newbie room is open from 12pm to 2pm and 6pm to 8pm. If you've never used the software before it's a good way to find out about how things work, the chat hosts etc. If you like free bingo then there are additional games to enjoy for all players every Tuesday and Thursday.
Daily Free Game
Depositors can also play a daily free game. Choose from Mystic Meg or Winning Headlines. You can only play on one game per week but the are free spins or cash prizes on offer with each one. You will only be able to play these games if you've met the weekly wagering terms.
Away from the free stuff there's plenty of paying games to enjoy. There's a number of bingo rooms - mainly 90 ball but you can play 75 ball and 80 ball. Ticket prices tend to range from 1p to 10p. There's also a Session Bingo room where you pay a fixed fee for one hour of games. That's a good way to manage your funds/time - the cheapest time to play is in the morning!
Exclusive Bingo Rooms
Joining the traditional rooms are Virtue Fusion specialist rooms. These include Bouncy Balls, Rainbow Riches and Deal Or No Deal Bingo. In addition you can enjoy Brit 50, a 50 ball game, and Winning Headlines, a 36 ball game. These latter two are exclusive to Sun Bingo. Look out too for the All Winners daily game which offers a £150 full house prize. Get tickets via qualifying games.
The move from Virtue Fusion did improve the slots offering at Sun Bingo. Ironically, Gamesys have added to their roster since the split. Top slots include The Monkey Prince, Cleopatra, Winning Headlines, Ted, El Jackpotto, Mystic Meg and King Kong Cash. A new games channel has increased the number of slot options
Sun Bingo Promotions
Sun Bingo have been pretty decent when it comes to promotions. They have regular Virtue Fusion events such as Weekend Jackpots and Rainbow Riches £10K Nights. However, there are usually always exclusives - both on site and via social media. They even have had their own TV show with the likes of Brian Dowling and Rustie Lee! Not many brands can compete with that kind of thing!
Sun Bingo is head and shoulders over it's main newspaper rival, The Mirror. When was the last time you saw Mirror Bingo advertise on TV? Sun Bingo offers plenty of bingo and slot opportunities - and has exclusives with respect to games and promotions. The brand may not appeal to everyone, but if you can overcome that issue then there's a lot to like.
The big question therefore has to be... are you gonna bingo?
