BBQ Bingo Review
BBQ Bingo launched on the Dragonfish Network platform in 2015. It arrived at a time when bingo brands were sprouting like mushrooms. 888, the group behind Wink and Posh, launched BBQ to boost their numbers. Surprisingly they opted for the Dragonfish Network rather than expand their - then - own network. You might not be able to grab a burger or sausage at this BBQ but you can enjoy a variety of bingo games and slots. Plus there's a welcome offer that's available with just a £5 minimum deposit.
Introducing BBQ Bingo
BBQ Bingo is a very plain looking site. Only the logo gives the visitor any nod towards the brand name. Look closely and you'll see a chef's hat and a skewered sausage - complete with bingo ball. Latest winners and current progressive jackpots are about the only exciting thing on the site. Although accessible via mobile devices, the website itself isn't responsive. In truth it does look dated when compared to bigger brands and more recent additions to the bingo network. No app is required to play at BBQ Bingo on handheld devices.
BBQ Bingo Welcome Offer
New players to BBQ Bingo have access to a free bingo room, with no deposit needed, for a few days after registration. Depositors are offered a 300% welcome bonus up to £105. Register, login and deposit £10 to receive a 200% bingo bonus and 100% games bonus. Note that you can claim the welcome offer with a minimum of a £5 first deposit which is good. Not so good are the wagering terms of x4 (deposit + bingo bonus) and x80 (games bonus) that apply.
Login to BBQ Bingo and you'll have access to the Dragonfish Network bingo lobby. Here you'll find 75 ball, 90 ball, 5 Line and 52 ball bingo rooms. The latter includes bingo roulette. In addition there are free bingo rooms, daily jackpots and specials. Pre-buy is available for most of the big jackpot games. The lobby also gives players access to slots and instant win games. Popular slots include Starburst, Fluffy Favourites and Sausage Party.
BBQ Bingo Promotions
The free bingo rooms include The Daily Doozey, Quids In, On The House and Freebie. Access to these rooms is limited to depositors. A £250 Sunday Sizzle and £1000 Magical Monday game are also available to play for free. These are networked games but you must be funded and made recent deposits to play. Cash prizes are awarded in all rooms except The Daily Doozey.
Other player promotions at BBQ Bingo are also networked. These include The Mystery Jackpot, a room where you don't know the prize until you play, Late Night Show where you can play late on for pennies, and WOW which offers spins for winners. Additional promotions include The Big £10K, The 2 Million Race and Happy Hour. The 2 Million Race is a monthly leaderboard tournament for bingo players. Earn points by completing challenges such as referring friends and calling house on specified 75 ball patterns. Occasional special offers run throughout the year.
BBQ Bingo doesn't have as much sizzle as a Costa or Wink Bingo, but it does offer plenty of the same bingo rooms and slots. This is because the Dragonfish platform encompasses many more brands and similar games. As online bingo has developed the lines between standalones and networks has become even more blurred. This is good for the Costa's and Wink's of the world, but less so for BBQ which lacks anything exclusive.
However that doesn't mean you should dismiss this party outright. There's always a few days of free bingo in The Daily Doozey and a welcome offer to enjoy if you're that kind of player. The £5 minimum first deposit to receive the welcome offer is perhaps the only highlight. It'd be great to see BBQ develop and offer it's own bingo rooms and promotions but this is unlikely to happen.
