Bgo Bingo, previously known as Xbingo, was originally the fifth site in the stable which included Costa, Sing, City and Fancy. However, it was slightly different to it's sister sites as was the first to have it's own bespoke software. Costa and co left the building after being sold to Intertain leaving Bgo to furrow it's on path. Bingo wise things didn't quite work out and in 2015 Bgo swapped their own software for the Virtue Fusion platform.
In October 2017, Bgo.com made some huge changes to their welcome offer for new players. They offered new players Candy Club Points that could then be used to purchase bingo tickets. Wins from such tickets were paid in cash so no wagering terms applied. However, more recently (October 2019) Bgo.com have made more further changes. New players can now make a £10 deposit to receive a £20 bonus when you using the code BINGO. The no deposit spins offer has now ended.
Free Newbie Room
Unlike the no deposit spins, the bingo bonus does come with a wagering term. This is set at x4. Additionall Bgo.com will also give you 7 days access to their free newbie room, Beginners Luck! One thing that needs to be noted is that Bgo.com are one of the few brands that implement a fee on deposits and withdrawals. A minimum fee of 50p will apply. See Bgo.com for all the details on this particular points.
The move to Virtue Fusion has been good for Bgo.com players as they now have plenty of choice in terms of rooms. There are 75 and 90 ball rooms as well as branded games such as Fluffy Favourites Bingo, Rainbow Riches Bingo and Deal Or No Deal. In addition there's also Joker Jackpot and Speed Bingo. As a Virtue Fusion brand it means that Bgo can also offer some big BingoLinx jackpots on a daily basis plus the usual network promotions such as Power Hours and Winner's Weekend.
Bgo Bingo Promotions
Promotions at Bgo Bingo tend to be limited. The casino side of things have throughout 2019 offered holiday prizes, but the bingo hasn't been as prolific. Instead bingo players have a monthly Big Competition that offers the opportunity to win vouchers in special games. Players need to complete a handful of tasks in order to qualify for these free games that take place around the end of the month. Bgo.com also run Daily Treats and theese include BOGOF, Roll On and Penny games at selected times throughout the weel.
Regular players can play free games and pick up additional rewards through the Candy Club loyalty scheme! Players earn 6 points for every £10 wagered on bingo - a lot less when playing slots and casino games. The more you play at Bgo.com the higher up the levels of Chocolate, Toffee, Nougat, Caramel and Candy levels you will go! You need 3000 points to hit the top level - or £5000 if you'd like it in monetary terms. A minimum number of 100 Candy Club Points can be redeemed at any one time.
Bgo.com have come a long long way since the days of Xbingo. The Boss (Verne Troyer) did use to add some much needed character to the brand and the celebrity endorsements from the likes of Paris Hilton helped raise it's profile. It's a shame that the inhouse software didn't work out, but the Virtue Fusion platform has worked out OK for Bgo.com!
That said, Bgo could do more for bingo players to make their offering more competitive. We'd like to see more exclusives in promotions and bingo room terms. It's a shame The Boss has gone as a variant of 40/50 ball could have worked in a similar way to Mystic Meg Bingo at The Sun. Overall though this is a decent brand to consider - especially given the access to slots and casino games. The fees are the biggest issue but there should be enough hear for them to not be a dealbreaker.
