Blast Off Bingo Review
Strap yourself in and head for the stars with Blast Off Bingo. This is a brand new site from Lindar Media. At first glance we anticipated this was a no wagering brand but in fact it uses the original Dragonfish Network. It has a very stylish facade - one of the best we've seen - and an enticing welcoming offer for newbies. However does Blast Off offer players anything different from other brands on the platform?
Blast Off Bingo has a very simple design but it's incredibly stylish. Especially when you compare it to other recent additions to the Dragonfish stable. The site boasts a space theme - unsurprisingly - and it combines well with the requisite bingo rooms, top slots and promotions. The site is well designed for mobile and desktop. Given Lindar have created sites like MrQ it's perhaps no surprise!
£100 Of Bingo Tickets
New players are welcomed to Blast Off what seems a typical Real Money Network offer. Deposit £10 to receive £100 of bingo tickets plus 10 free spins. The free tickets are for the Exclusively Newbies room and £1k Pay Day Room. However hold on a moment! Only some of the tickets will pay out in cash the others are paid as a bingo bonus (x4) so wagering terms apply. Likewise, any wins from the spins are paid as a games bonus (x80).
Inside the lobby of Blast Off you'll find free bingo, 75 ball and 90 ball games. These are joined by rooms such as Mystery Jackpots, Bingo 52 and Bingo Roulette. Aside from the free games, ticket prices range from 5p to £1. New players can access the Daily Doozey for a few days without making a deposit. Prizes are small and paid out as bonuses - wagering terms may apply.
Jackpots are a regular feature on all Dragonfish brands so Blast Off Bingo are no different. These games include the £50 Daily Treat, £1K Wishful Thursday, £500 Wacky Wednesday, £600 Dreamy Monday and The Big £10K. In the free bingo department you'll find the £250 Sunday Special and £1000 Magical Mondays. These latter two games can only be played by qualified depositing players.
Joining the multiple bingo rooms is the usual selection of slots, jackpots and slingo games. Popular slots include Starburst, Fluffy Favourites, Rainbow Riches and Love Island Slingo. In truth we're not fans of the slots area on the Dragonfish platform. They're not well laid out and it's difficult to find games. Surprisingly there's not a popularity tab so that players can find the top games.
Blast Off Bingo encourage players to join their social media communities on Facebook and Twitter. This community will allow roomies to "meet other players and get exclusive rewards and bonuses". This is a good sentiment but when we followed the respective links there weren't any accounts. Hopefully the issue can be resolved and a social community for the brand established.
One thing that is established is the loyalty program. All players join the VIP set-up from day one and this gives them access to free spins and free bingo rooms. VIP players can also enjoy weekly cashback deals - although this is from Level 5. Note that you'll need to be a depositing player to take advantage of the free spins and bingo rooms.
Our first impression of Blast Off was that it was stylish new addition to the Real Money set up on Dragonfish. As is it's actually more old school and occupies a niche on the original network. This is fine because Blast Off does offer a no wagering element in it's welcome offer. The problem here is that we find it a tad confusing. On a more positive note it does break the mould and perhaps could be a first step to aligning two networks that are going rapidly nowhere.
Sadly we're still yet to see a new addition to Dragonfish that does more than just the network standard. The good news is that the network standard is reasonable - at least in terms of free bingo, jackpots and VIP programs. However, we'd still like to see regular exclusives. Surely at least one new Dragonfish brand can step up and become a real competitor to the likes of Wink, Costa and 888 Ladies? Blast Off should do better than the likes of Sailor, Bounce and Hunky but it'll need more rocket fuel to join the elite.
