Celeb Bingo Review
888 Holdings have been churning out brands this year and their latest is Celeb Bingo. It's not the first bingo site to pull celebrity and our favourite game together - OK, Heat, Gossip and Glossy have all gone for that theme. We have to be honest here and say that it's not a recipe that's worked particularly well - and we can't see things changing with this site either.
The one thing you won't find at Celeb Bingo is celebrities and that kind of defeats the brand from the word go. When the site initially arrived players were actually encouraged to "sign up today to indulge on all the celeb gossip"! The design of the site is also quite unappealing. The greyed out gossip columns and fake headlines really don't add anything to proceedings. Thankfully the front page isn't the be all and end all of any bingo brand.
Celeb Bingo Welcome Offer
On the positive side we do have a decent bingo platform albeit being the ubiquitous Dragonfish Network. New players to Celeb Bingo are offered a 350% welcome bonus which generates £20 for bingo and £15 for side games/slots on a £10 deposit. As you'd expect, all bonuses come with wagering terms and these are x4 for bingo and x80 for games. Note some games activity does not contribute to your wagering term deficit so do check the info as well as terms.
Login to the Celeb Bingo lobby and you'll be able to play a variety of 75 ball and 90 ball games. In addition you can play 52 ball games based on playing cards and roulette. Ticket prices for most games range between 5p and 10p but you will find a regular number of penny bingo games. Everyone loves free bingo and Celeb has a number of rooms. Do note that most of these are usually only accessible for depositors. New players can get free access to free bingo - with no deposit needed - for just three days after registration. Login and play in the Daily Doozey for the chance to win small bonus prizes.
Celeb Bingo Promotions
Joining the regular rooms and freebies are a number of jackpot games and specials. The best ones to look out for are the £250 Sunday and £1000 Monday games. These are both free for qualifying depositing players. Slot players have a nice choice of games including Fluffy Favourites, Cleopatra, Piggy Payout and Millionaire Genie. Use the search option within the lobby to find titles or use the tabs to locate play favourites, progressives or new to the platform.
Exclusives aren't in the Celeb Bingo handbook but there are a number of network promotions to enjoy. These include Mystery Jackpots where you can win up to £500, The Big £10K that makes everyone a winner, The 2 Million Race that offers loyalty point prizes and Happy Hour that still runs every Monday. We always like to see exclusives but we're pretty sure that they will never materialise on this brand!
Our Verdict
Like Beatle, 'Ballroom, Daisy and BBQ - all additions to the 888 Holding group at the same time - Celeb relies solely on the network promotions to attract player's attention. We think they need to look towards Costa and Wink who add extras to their brands to make them stand out from the crowd. Celeb could for example offer magazine subscription prizes - or giveaway a "be treated like a Celeb" weekend. That said one highlight is the £5 minimum deposit for the 350% welcome bonus.
As is though it's not going to hit The A-List. The welcome offer and no deposit bingo room for a few days are probably the highlights for would-be newbies. If you do choose Celeb as your primary site then it has got a good engine, plenty of rooms and slots plus the promos are decent. We did say back in 2015 that "it needs a bit of celebrity spark to make it stand out" and five years on that still applies. Even a Z-List Love Island reject would be a plus.
