Cupcake Bingo Review
Food is a popular starting point for many bingo brands. Sugar, Lollipop, Candy Shop, Biscuit and Tasty have now been joined by Cupcake Bingo. This is the latest addition to a group of Dragonfish brands owned Silverspin (formerly Quickthink). With an exciting welcome offer, plenty of bingo and all the top slots this brand should be able to deliver plenty of sweet treats to players.
Introducing Cupcake Bingo
When it first launched in 2015 Cupcake Bingo was given a baking theme but thankfully wasn't as busy as Candy Shop. There were bingo balls on cup cakes, in the mixer and on the work surface just to remind you what the site is all about. As of May 2020 the site has been revamped to look more stylish. A showstopper of a cake complete with bingo balls dominates the welcome offer and the site looks a lot more appealing. Players can access most games using mobile, tablet and desktop devices.
Cupcake Bingo Welcome Offer
New Cupcake Bingo players who deposit a minimum of £10 are offered a 200% bonus (up to £30) and 30 spins on the popular Fluffy Favourites slot. Both of these attract wagering terms as wins from the spins are paid out as a games bonus. Note that the wins will be capped at a maximum of £4.50. The terms are x4 for bingo and x85 for spins. The latter is quite high but other Dragonfish brands are as high as x99!
Since it's launch things have changed at Cupcake. For example, way back in the day new depositors were sent a free cupcake. You don't get that any more. Instead new players can enjoy a couple of days of free bingo in The Biggie. This rooms gives you a daily chance to win £50. No deposit is required. Other free games are available in The Grand, The Ultra and The Supreme but these are accessible only to qualifying depositors. Qualification depends upon the size of your deposit (£10 to £50).
Cupcake Bingo Promotions
Head to the Cupcake Bingo lobby and you will find joining the free bingo rooms are the usual 75 and 90 ball games. Share The Love (75) The Sauna (75) and The Rehab (90) are the most active rooms. These are joined by Suit Up a 52 ball game that uses playing cards and Bingo Roulette. The latter is also a 52 ball game that plays once daily. Also available are daily jackpots such as the £777 Mighty Nightly and Mystery Jackpots.
If you're a bingo regular then you'll note that Cupcake uses the same platform as Moon Bingo and it's many sister sites. For the most part the rooms and jackpots are identical (as you'd expect). However when we compared Cupcake with Moon the promotions part of the latter was more active. In terms of slots though both sites are identical and when we clicked on 'Vouchers' in the lobby both were offering a deposit for spins on Irish Luck promo.
Back in 2015 we said "Cupcake is a nice brand and the extra free gift is a tempting treat. If you were choosing between similar sites - e.g. Beatle vs Cupcake - then the cake may well sway the deal". Now that the extra gift is no longer available what does Cupcake offer? It does give access to a decent platform, linked jackpots and loaded live games. The slots are good, but that's the same for all Dragonfish powered brands.
The welcome offer is decent and we all love no deposit bingo. However it's worth noting that the deposit bonus bingo tickets can only be played on selected games. The good news there is that the £2500 Real Money game is an Everyone's A Winner, so at least you'll get something back. As ever a few exclusives, prizes and/or social media community would enhance things but we're in an age where these are rarely offered by boutique bingo sites.
