Mirror Bingo Review
Bingo was an important weapon during the newspaper circulation battles in the 80s. Mirror Bingo and Sun Bingo competed for sales by offering bigger and bigger prizes. Now bingo is online it's safe to say The Sun has faired better than it's rivals. Mirror Bingo originally launched on the Dragonfish powered Cashcade Network before moving to the Virtue Fusion Network in 2014. Surprisingly they've now made another move and as of June 2020 have joined The Daily Star and Daily Express on the Jumpman Network. This means players can enjoy a mix of bingo games, slots and live casino.
The new Mirror Bingo site has gone from boring and staid to quite colourful and vibrant. The logo has even had a bit of a makeover. The welcome offer dominates the homepage and featured slots appearing below although no bingo rooms are highlighted. A surprised looking woman holding a mobile with expressions such as "OMG", "Get In" and "Yesssss" complete the scene. Interestingly the blurb at the foot of the site says that Mirror Bingo are now "offering even more" which is true if you ignore the fact there's now less bingo rooms. Thankfully the site is now mobile friendly and games can be enjoyed on desktop, mobile and tablet. No app is required.
Mirror Bingo Welcome Offer
New players are welcomed to Mirror Bingo with the Jumpman network's now standard offer. Unlike Express Wins and Star Wins, The Mirror has opted for the Mega Reel mechanic over a Loot Chest. Register, login and deposit a minimum of £10 to win a spin on the wheel. You may win nothing but by the same token you could collect up to 500 spins on Starburst or Fluffy Favourites. It's also possible to win an Amazon voucher worth £10. Wagering terms apply to wins from any bonus spins and this is set at a x65 requirement. The maximum win per 10 spins is £8. Other terms apply.
As mentioned above Mirror Bingo are claiming they are offering even more. As a Virtue Fusion brand that meant 75, 80 and 90 ball bingo as well as themed rooms such as Deal Or No Deal, Rainbow Riches and Cash Cubes. The new look site offers fewer rooms in the shape of 75, 80 and 90 ball rooms powered by Pragmatic Play. These are joined by a handful of jackpot rooms like Friday Fun, Bingo Blast and The Jackpot Room. Additionally you can play Bingo Millions 90 ball and instant win versions of the lotto meets bingo game. There are no exclusive rooms open to Mirror Bingo players.
Mirror Bingo Promotions
Slots most certainly have changed at the new Mirror Bingo. Out go the dated looking Big Top Tombola and Clover Rollover and in come a whole bunch of top games from NetEnt, Eyecon Games and others. Latest additions include Lady Earth, Electric Avenue, Beat The Bobbies At The Tower Of London, Aztec Spins, Arthur's Fortune, , Reactive Mega Drop, Atlantis and Zeus III. These are joined by a selection of Daily Drop Slots and Progressive Jackpots. You'll need to use search to locate Megaways titles. One game that you won't see is the exclusive Reel News - this was Mirror Bingo's version of Winning Headlines that was exclusive at Sun Bingo.
When we compared Sun Bingo and Mirror Bingo as Virtue Fusion brands we concluded that the former is so much better for player promotions. Has the move to Jumpman improved things? Unfortunately not because there's nothing exclusive to get excited about. Instead players will find the standard Jumpman player promos such as Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, Happy Hour and Free Spins. In terms of bingo look out for special jackpot games whilst slots players are regularly offered prize draws and promotions for slot players. These may be announced via email or on the brand's social media channel.
We were initially pleased when Mirror Bingo changed to Virtue Fusion as it could then really give it's arch-rival, The Sun Bingo, a run for it's money. Sadly The Mirror didn't do enough to become a market leader. It's safe to say that Mirror Bingo became quite stagnant. A move to a new platform could give them a boost but we're not sure Jumpman offers a better alternative to players. The selection of slots is good but the jury is still out on whether the recently launched replacement bingo channel is attractive.
Without any exclusives Mirror Bingo is no better than 150+ other sites on the same platform. We'd like to see either unique offers or bingo rooms so that they have their own identity. Unfortunately we can't ignore the fact that the welcome offer isn't that attractive. The high wagering term is hefty and it's possible to not win on the Mega Wheel. Furthermore the platform has recently introduced a withdrawal fee of £2.50 on all transactions. That's something you don't get at Sun Bingo!
