Bingo and quiz games have always been close allies especially on TV with the likes of game shows such as Bob's Full House and Shane Richie's Lucky Numbers. Online trivia quizzes have become increasingly popular as brands such as The Sun, Betfred and Buzz have all ran live quiz during 20202. Now a new Dragonfish brand, Quizingo, is hoping it can make it's mark with an exciting new site. It offers all your favourite Dragonfish bingo games plus there's the chance to win cash prizes in a Monthly Quiz Night.
Introducing Quizingo
Quizingo is a stylish and colourful looking site that's bathed mainly in blue. A bow-tied host in bright purple jacket adorns the homepage. It's actually nice to see that the host is male although we're not sure if the guy is famous or not. We could envisage a day when - if Quizingo is successful - that he coule be replaced by a celebrity quizmaster! Underneath the welcome offer there's a brief explanation about what Quizingo is all about plus a host of popular slots. Overall the site looks impressive and is designed for mobile, tablet and desktop.
Quizingo Welcome Offer
New players to Quizingo are offered a welcome package consisting of a bingo bonus, bingo tickets and slots spins. Register, login and deposit a minimum of £10 to receive a £30 bonus and 10 spins on Irish Spins. Note that wagering terms do apply. This is x4 for the bingo bonus and x80 for any wins generated from the spins. Wins from the free spins are fixed at £2.50. We think that the x80 wagering term on the wins from spins is quite hefty and it might be something players wish to ignore. Free spins are valid for 7 days and will be lost if not used.
Free Bingo
Unfortunately you no longer seem to be able to try Quizingo for free without making a deposit. Although The Daily Doozey is still open for three days for all new players to enjoy some free bingo games they now need to be funded in order to play. Free games play regularly throughout the day and offer the chance to win bingo bonuses - which do come with wagering terms. We're pretty disappointed that the no purchase necessary option has been dropped by the network as it means players can no longer try before they buy. If you do fund your account then it's worth playing in The Daily Doozey because there was only a handful of players when we checked in. There are other free rooms available but you also need to have a funded account.
Quizingo Rooms
Inside the Quizingo lobby you'll find a handful of 90, 75 and 52 bingo rooms including the aforementioned Daily Doozey. The lobby of Quizingo is better than those seen on some other Dragonfish Network brands. Under the bingo tab you'll find Daily Jackpots, 24/7, Specials, VIP and All. The 24/7 tab is where you'll find the main active rooms - High 5, Chatterbox and High 5. Ticket prices are typically 5p or 10p although you can find cheaper and more expensive games. Some jackpot games offer pre-buy.
Bingo & Quizzes
All other rooms are jackpot rooms such as Mystery Jackpots and 100 Spins. Look under the Free section for more free game options for depositors including Freemium, Quids In And Sunday Sizzle. Under VIP you'll find the Big £10K game. This is a £10,000 monthly jackpot that occurs on the 10th of every month across all Dragonfish powered brand. Quizingo there are exclusive rooms including Fab 50, Mocktail Party and The Bingo Bingo Quiz. The latter costs 5p a ticket and currently runs every month. We're assuming that they'll be a trivia quiz taking place during the exclusive games. When the site originally launched it said that "more quizzes will be added in the near future" but this hasn't exactly materialised almost two years later.
Player Promotions
Aside from the quiz room and a couple of offers it shares with Zoe's and Katie's there's not a lot else to get overly excited about at Quizingo. Most player promos are those provided by the network and these include Daily Jackpots, Free Bingo Games, Happy Hour and The Big £10K. The Big £10K is a Dragonfish loyalty promotion. It's open for members who have received free cards by invitation only. A guaranteed jackpot of £5000 will be split between FH, 2L, 1L, 1TG and 2TG. The remaining £5000 is split amongst all other roomies so it's an everyone's a winner game. This game was brought in to replace reload bonuses. Weekend Tournaments are a new addition to Dragonfish and these take place from Friday to Sunday and typically offer up to £750 in prizes.
Our Verdict
We like the idea of Quizingo and are fascinated to see how it develops. We're not quite sure how the trivia quiz element will work but we're hoping it's not just a chat host game with players getting token prizes for typing out quick answers. For now there are some strong ticks for Quizingo thanks to their exclusives. Bingo All Stars aside it's hard to think of another Dragonfish brand that's launched this year that has offered something new to players. In our original review we said that "we think Quizingo will be one to watch in 2021" but that was perhaps over optimistic given that since it's launched it's done the sweet sum of the square of nothing. Overall a nice idea that hasn't really delivered what it promised.
