T Rex Bingo Review
In 2015 and following hot on the footsteps of Dino Bingo, came T-Rex Bingo. Surprisingly this isn't another brand from the Costa camp but it is in fact a new addition to the 888 group which is headed up by Wink and 888 Ladies. T Rex was joined by another three sites - Ballroom, Daisy and Hearts. We suspect that T-Rex was launched to coincide with the release of Jurassic World. So has T-Rex dominated the bingo world or is it on it's way to extinction?
Introducing T Rex Bingo
At launch, T Rex Bingo featured a purple dinosaur that looked a little bit Barney-esque. Gambling laws mean that he's had to go and so T-Rex is now dinorsaurless! That's probably a good thing as people will probably be put off by more realistic dino images and activity. In fact, the loss of "Rex" is the only real change at this site since it arrived. The site actually looks dated and without the dinosaurs comes across as a vegetable fat branded bingo site. We suspect that wasn't the original plan back in 2015.
T-Rex Bingo Welcome Bonus
New players to T-Rex Bingo can treat themselves to a 300% welcome bonus on a first deposit of £5 or more. The bonus is split between bingo and games - so that's a £20 bonus for bingo and £10 for games if you decided to fund your account with £10. Wagering terms apply with a x4 condition on the bingo but a x80 one on the games side. It should also be noted that some games such as Blackjack will not contribute anything to the wagering condition requirements. Withdrawal restictions will also apply.
As a new T-Rex Bingo player you can enjoy some no deposit bingo. Register and login to access the Daily Doozey for three days after joining. Inside this free bingo room you'll be able to play 75 ball games for the chance to win bonus prizes. These bonuses will attract wagering terms. Other free bingo rooms are available but you'll need to be a regular depositor to qualify for these particular games. Free bingo rooms include Quids In, On The House and Freebie.
T-Rex Bingo Promotions
The bulk of T-Rex Bingo revolves around 90 ball and 75 ball rooms. However you will now find Suits You, a 52 ball playing card game, and a 52 ball bingo roulette game. Additionally there are free games including the £250 Sunday Sizzle and £1000 Magical Monday. These freebies are available to all qualifying players. To play the Sunday game you need to be a funded player. Meanwhile for the Monday game you must have made a minimum deposit of £5 in the previous seven days. All prizes for these two freebies are paid in cash so no wagering terms apply to the winnings.
On the promotions page one would hope for something exciting to report but no there's not a lot going on other than the usual Dragonfish offers. These include Daily Jackpots, Free Bingo Games, Happy Hour and The Big £10K. The Big £10K is a Dragonfish loyalty promotion. It's open for members who have received free cards by invitation only. A guaranteed jackpot of £5000 will be split between FH, 2L, 1L, 1TG and 2TG. The remaining £5000 is split amongst all other roomies so it's an everyone's a winner game. This game was brought in to replace reload bonuses.
We're just not sure about T Rex Bingo! It's not on the same level as Wink and we think 888 have got better brands to work with in the shape of Tasty and Posh. The dinosaur theme is great and tied in nicely with the release of Jurassic World a few years back, but for that to work (or be exploited) then T-Rex needed to rustle up exclusives. We can safely say that exclusives aren't going to be forthcoming at T-Rex any time soon - if ever.
In our original review, we suspected "that Dino Bingo will be more on the ball and in the battle of reptilian brands". To be fair, neither T-Rex or Dino have made exciting inroads into bingo folklore. Unfortunately both sites launched under an umbrella of Jurassic World excitement - but a movie about dinosaurs doesn't equate to wanting to play bingo. T-Rex isn't a bad site! The bingo and slots on offer are decent but it's a good site in a bad idea. The minimum £5 deposit to receive the welcome offer is perhaps the highlight.
