Viking Bingo Review
Back in 2015 Viking Bingo was one of the first brands on the new Jumpman Gaming powered Wheel Of Slots Network. This new network had a unique selling point of offering players a spin of a bonus wheel instead of the usual percentage bonuses. This mechanic was adopted by the Jumpman Slots Network and the Jumpman powered 15 Network. Ultimately these improvements made The WSN redundant and so Viking became a 15 Network brand during 2019.
When it first launched Viking Bingo featured a couple of heavily bearded characters who wouldn't look out of place in an Asterix cartoon. However the site has been redesigned and the cartoon look dropped. A long boat is the main feature of the homepage although we could do without the moving waves. Viking Bingo gets the award for being the only bingo brand that can make you sea sick! Overall though we like the look and it's been set-up for mobile, tablet and desktop.
Welcome Offer
New players to Viking Bingo are welcomed with the chance to open a Loot Chest. This is like the Mega Wheel that you'll find at the majority of other Jumpman brands. Deposit £10 to open a Loot Chest that gives you the chance to win up to 500 spins on the Starburst slot. A win isn't guaranteed by the way. It is possible to win less than 500 spins, a £10 Amazon voucher or nothing. Note that wagering terms do apply and there's a x65 wagering term as standard. Full details can be found at Viking.
Login to the lobby area of Viking Bingo to find a selection of bingo rooms and instant win games. In March 2020 Jumpman closed their own rooms such as Lucky Stars and Pay Day Jackpot. These have now been replaced by Pragmatic Play's bingo games. This means Viking can now offer 75 ball, 80 ball and 90 ball games in rooms such as Boombox, Stars N Stripes and The Jackpot Room. Tickets on average cost around 10p per game but we did find a 1p game in Clock Work that gives you the chance to win a share of £15. Pre-buy is available although the rooms do lack chat facilities.
Promotions
Jumpman brands are much more slot orientated and it's perhaps no surprise that most new additions to the platform are aimed at slot players. Popular games include Starburst, Fluffy Favourites, Eye Of Horus, Bonanza, Mustang Gold, Fishin Frenzy, Ted and Stumpy McDoodles. Progressive jackpot slots, powered by Eyecon Games, are joined by a collection of Megaways titles.
Promotions wise Viking relies on the network offerings. These include Daily Cashback and 31 Days of Double Cashback for new players. All new players will automatically qualify for at least 1% Daily Cashback but note that it must be claimed as it won't be awarded. Other promos include Happy Hours and Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. The latter rewards the player with the highest slot win with a £50 Just Eat Voucher.
Our Verdict
The highlight of Viking Bingo is that it looks great. The Loot Chest welcome offer may also be appealing to slot players. Bingo players on the other hand are short changed with nothing to get excited about. Jumpman have finally got round to sorting out their bingo channel through the addition of Bingo Millions and Pragmatic Play's product. However bingo promotions are drab and there's no longer any free bingo games to enjoy.
Slots players will enjoy what's on offer at Viking. The Loot Chest, which is available on first deposit and subsequent reloads of £20+, gives you the chance to win spins. Additional bonuses can be won via trophies and other promotions. Look out for the occasional slot operator tournament too. All players should now be aware that all withdrawals now incur a £2.50 admin fee.
