Become The Meerkovo Ambassador and Win £40,000!

Become The Meerkovo Ambassador and Win £40,000!

It’s unusual competition time! Everyone should be familiar with meercats and their role in Compare The Market’s advertising campaigns, well now you have the chance to get involved. Compare the Market are looking for a Meerkovo Ambassador – “to help peoples understand the difference between comparethemeerkat.com and comparethemarket.com”. The prize on offer… only a mere(kat) £40,000! Your role as Meerkovo Ambassdor would be to represent the village at some of the UK’s biggest cultural and sporting events like Wimbledon, Glastonbury, The Last Night of the Proms and the Lord’s Test Match. You’ll also have to do some social media work and write a blog. Oh, and there’s the cash on top of this too – all for six month’s work (you guys can do without us for a while?).

Not A Simples Prize Draw

Working hours are flexible and you can work from home – although as you’ll be required at some events there will be travel involved at times. The competition, as you’d expect, isn’t a simple prize draw. First of all you are required to fill in an application form including explaining “why you think you would make perfect UK ambassador for famous town of Meerkovo” and “examples of how you would raise awareness of the terrible problem in Meerkovo”. You can also add a video to go with your application. If you’re serious about this competition then a video is probably a good idea as it will demonstrate extra skills – it’ll also be useful (should you win) to be able to do video blogging, video reports etc. The video isn’t compulsory and with entries required by 20th April you might find you’re actually better off crafting your replies to the questions.

Interview In London

If you’re good enough then you’ll be added to the shortlist. You’ll be interviewed down in London and if selected asked to run mini campaigns using social media and other communications tools. It’s not an easy path to that £40,000 for six months work job! Finally it all comes down to a public vote! This will be used to decides which of shortlisted candidate is selected for the role. Hopefully it’ll be a fair fight between the best candidates with the best one coming out on top. Voting starts on 6th May and the winner will be announced on the 20th May. As you can see this is quite a quick competition with limited time to apply. For that reason we expect that entry levels won’t be so high – making it worth a consideration if you’re outgoing, social media aware and fancy doing something totally different for the next six months (should you win). Who knows what opportunities a competition like this could open up for the winner?
