Skoda Puzzle! Solve The Clues To Win Prizes!

Posted on: April 20th, 2011 by Jason 4 Comments

Earlier this week we spotted a tweet from a new follow to @loquax. It was from @skodapuzzle and it included the hashtags #win #competition #skodapuzzle. We thought we’d better investigate! First up, Skoda are the new sponsors of US Crime Drama on Channel 5 and this promotion is part of that deal.

To coincide with this sponsorship they’ve launched a site called Skoda Puzzle. This takes you to a Youtube channel with a series of videos – but you can only access them over the next few weeks (running into June 2011). The aim will be to solve the mysteries. There will be 10 weekly puzzles and each one could win you a prize. To take part you have to solve every clue!

There’s no indication of what the weekly prizes are in the terms and conditions, but there is an indication that there is a Skoda Fabia car to be won. If we’ve understood things correctly, everyone who completes the tasks by the closing date of 1st July will be in the draw. Interestingly the entry period for the final competitions is between 8pm and 10pm – so a very narrow window of opportunity to take part.

With that in mind it’s well worth keeping an eye on this competition from the outset. No doubt the clues and solutions will get discussed amongst various comping (and non comping) communities – but why not try and test that old grey matter and give it a try without any help!

If you get really stuck then there may well be some hints and tips (as well as an idea about the weekly prizes on offer) posted on the Skoda Puzzle Facebook and Twitter pages.

This promises to be an interesting competition – and it’s nice to see a car competition too, something of a rarity these days!

Skoda Puzzle kicks off on Channel 5 from the 25th April, but look out for Skoda’s idents on C5 as they are already running.

No clues, no puzzle. I suppose you’ve got to sign up to Twitter or give them all your details via Facebook.

2011/04/26 – I still get the feeling that this started a week ago. I’ve found two separate anagrams on YouTube and Facebook, and, probably because I have different identities, they don’t match up.
