Can you believe it’s been over 4 months since we last blogged on Loquax!! Anyway we are alive and kicking and regular visitors to the main site will realise that there’s been a few changes in the look. We’ve been busy recoding and dragging ourselves into – oh at least 2010 coding wise. Before changes to the competition service a lot of the site was running on dated code – so much so we had to patch things up every time Internet Explorer (yuck) upgraded. Anyway, the new look transition is underway – don’t panic though as the usual comping tools, community and listings aren’t going anywhere!
However if you do spot that we’ve broken something, lost a link or anything else unusual then let us know.
Competition wise we think football might be a wee bit popular in the coming months and so here’s an interesting one for you from Doritos. They are looking for teams to take penalty kicks against Joe Hart, the England and Manchester City goalkeeper.
To enter you need to register at Doritos by the 18th April. You will need a team of mates, some details about them, team photos and videos. Plus if that wasn’t enough to put you off you need to demonstrate “how important you are to each other as a team and how good can you be on-screen”. That’s quite a tough entry requirement – which means not many folks will go for it – so more chances to win if you do decide to give it a try!
The prize is a once in a lifetime football trip, but sadly it’s not to Brazil for the World Cup! Instead you have to make do flying out to Madrid, Milan and Munich and enjoying stadium tours of the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, San Siro Stadium and Allianz Arena. This will all take place over 4 nights and you’ll also be jetting around in your own private plane. Think we’d still prefer to head to Brazil though!!!
Anyway – look out for more blogs in the coming weeks and months – if there’s anything you’d like us to cover then do feel free to make suggestions.
