The 2010 World Cup Finals in South Africa are around one year away and already there’s a competition up and running to give you the chance to win tickets. Sony have gone all Willy Wonka like but instead of you eating loads of chocolate to find a Golden Ticket they’re giving you the chance to win it. Win the Golden Ticket and you’ll get a pair of tickets to every game your country plays in the 2010 FIFA World Cup. If your team goes all the way to the Final then you’ll be there too.
There are also a daily prize of a pair of tickets to every game your country plays in the 2010 FIFA World Cup plus a weekly prize of tickets to see a match in the World Cup (flights and accommodation are included).
The downside to this competition is that you’re going to need to make a purchase of a Sony Ericsson handset to enter as you need an IMEI Number. If you’re in Northern Ireland though there’s some good news for you as entry to the prize draw can be made by a NPN route as described in the terms and conditions.
For everyone else, the phone must be purchased between the 1st August and 30th September. If you’d like to enter but don’t want to spend too much money then here’s a couple of Sony Ericsson mobile PAYG deals to help you (all prices correct at time of publication).
Dialaphone are offering the Sony Ericcsson W350i Black Purple for £24.90, this is a lot cheaper than PAYG phones on Vodafone where the cheapest handset is the Sony Ericsson W205 for £40. Checks on Amazon, Play.com and other mobile sites including T-mobile and The Link suggest that a PAYG handset isn’t going to be that cheap. If you spot a good deal then let us and other compers know!
Of course if you’re buying a new phone don’t forget you can cash for your old one. Use Loquax’s Mobile Recycling Cashback Tool to help you get the best deal.
If the idea of spending money to enter this competition isn’t for you but you do want to win tickets to the World Cup in South Africa then keep an eye on Loquax over the coming months as we fully expect to see a lot of competitions, especially from the sponsors of the event!
