A few weeks ago we told you about the new “competition” from Compare the Market. It was you chance to become the Meerkovo Ambassador and win a £40,000 job promoting the brand at various events around the country. The competition is in it’s final stages and one of the finalists politely asked if we’d do a blog about their entry.
Politeness gets you everywhere so here it is…
Clemi Hardie, 24, from Cornwall, is hoping that her tactical yet tongue-in-cheek approach to the competition will pay dividends once the competition to decide the Meerkovo Ambassador ends. “I’ll be running a spoof political campaign that plays on everything we’re used to seeing during an election. From the hard-hitting slogans to the carefully staged interviews, I’ve really gone to town to recreate the political vibe.”
The video above is the video that got Clemi on to the shortlist, but how is she going to win the competition? Clemi gave us some insight into her tactics. “I’ll be appropriating politically-inspired Internet memes to use as campaign posters. My hope is that by creating funny, shareable content I’ll be able to spread the ‘Vote Clemi’ message far and wide. Simples.”
“I have developed a campaign Facebook application which allows people to shout out a campaign message at the click of a button or add a campaign tab to their Facebook pages. This same application publishes any website likes or comments to a users Facebook stream. There is also a campaign supporters pack ready for download on my website”
Clemi is no stranger to online marketing activity. She set up her own business, Noodle Marketing, in Falmouth earlier this year. The consultancy offers a range of social media, SEO and online content services with a focus on creating an exciting and consistent online presence for brands.
If you like Clemi’s entry then you can also give her your vote at the Ambassador Website. You have until 5pm on May 22nd to help someone win this fantastic prize.
We wish her and all the other candidates the very best of luck with their entries.
