Sometimes you know instantly when a Raffall competition organiser has had their property up for sale with an estate agent. And that's the case here as the competition text reads exactly like the blurb that agents use to sell properties. This is great for us as it means it took literally seconds to Google the listing and discover location and valuation. We're not sure if the property currently remains on the active market however we do know that the seller has been struggling to upsize due to Covid.

How To Enter The Competition

The house is three years old and was built by Redcliffe Homes. It's a terrace house and located on a cul-de-sac and whilst it's freehold there is an annual estate fee of just under £350! It has three bedrooms, one with en-suite, a bathroom, modern kitchen and living room. Outside there's a garden with artificial turf and patio area. The property doesn't have a garage but there's parking space for two cars. There are a number of images including a floor plan posted on the competition page.

To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window which we found disappeared very quickly. Tickets only cost £4 and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. No donations will be made to charity as part of this competition.

100,000 Ticket Sales

Mat Dumont aims to sell 100,000 tickets (total revenue £400,000) by the end of March 2021 in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. Note that if 100% of the tickets are not sold then the promoter receives nothing.

Given that the property has struggled to sell in the current climate and the family are aiming to upsize, we are surprised that the ticket target is as high as it is. Of course owners need to account for fees and any marketing costs but the number of tickets or price could have been a little lower in our view. Whilst we love the fact the competition blurb does include the necessary estate agent details it feels a little cold. Owners need to include this information but also add some of their own warmth to market the property as one that someone would like to win. Enter Competition Here
