Lucky Londoner's were waking up to the sight of a giant rubber duck sailing down The Thames this morning (11th December). The enormous yellow duck - dubbed Duckzilla - is making it way into The Capital thanks to Jackpotjoy as part of their 'just for the jackpotjoy of it' campaign.
Duckzilla will be heading all the way down to Tower Bridge for a spectacular event at around 10am. Rumours are that the bridge will open to allow the duck to pass through and continue it's journey along the river. According to Jackpotjoy's Facebook page the duck will pass London Bridge before making a return trip back to The O2. If you missed Duckzilla on it's inward journey, don't miss your chance to catch him on the way back.
This is probably one of the biggest stunts ever by an online bingo site - and what a great stunt it could turn out to be. Mind you, we are slightly biased as we love ducks - although a little gutted to not be in London to see it!
Jackpotjoy should reap a fair bit of publicity. The event should attract significant interest from the press plus hopefully there will be plenty of photos and videos posted on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. You can keep an eye on what's happening by following the #jackpotjoyDuck hashtag.
The 50ft high, 60ft wide inflatable duck is the symbol for Jackpotjoy's Fundation scheme. This is a pot of cash that they offer to players just to try and help raise a smile in these austerity times. More details about the scheme can be found on their Facebook page.
