Chas N Dave, Margate & Foxy Bingo!!

Last night we caught Mary Queen Of The High Street on Channel 4. In the programme Mary Portas was trying to help revive the fortunes of the high street in seaside town Margate. It was a fascinating insight into the hurdles she faced in getting locals onside and people back to the town. However, something else caught our eye during the show.
Chas n Dave featured in the programme because they wrote and sang a song about Margate - "you can keep the Costa Brava, I’m telling ya mate I'd rather have a day down Margate with all me family". The video for this tune is below.
In the video, Chas n Dave pick up their friends and family, put them on a bus and sing their way to destination Margate - now where have we seen something similar before? We rattled our brains as something furry on a bus singing with a bunch of random folk seemed very familiar... ah yes Foxy Bingo's Prize Bus Tour.
For a brief moment we even thought that the buses in the two clips were the same - they're not as they have different registrations, but take a look at the two images below - both have split screen buses and are driving through the countryside. How uncanny is that? Two buses full of people, led by two different hairy entities, all singing a song.
So there you have it friends, indisputable proof that Foxy Bingo's Prize Bus Tour is in fact inspired by Chas n Dave when they decided to head down to Margate. Who'd have thought it? All we need now is for Foxy to get Chas n Dave on the bingo bus for a future advert and take them back down to Margate and our lives will be complete.
