It's not been a great week, month or season for David Moyes and his Manchester United team. Many pundits have put their performance against Olympiakos as the low point of a disappointing season but it's sunk even lower than that. Stars of the current United side took on Super League players in a cross bar challenge - and lost.
The sporting challenge was put together by Foxy Bingo who are back as an official sponsor of Super League for the 2014 season. Players Kevin Sinfield, Ryan Bailey and Rangi Chase took on Ryan Giggs, Darren Fletcher and Chris Smalling in the Soccer AM inspired challenge.
In the challenge, the footballers had to kick rugby balls and the rugby players footballs. The aim was to hit the crossbar, with the side getting the most hits being declared as the winners. The final result was 4-3 in favour of Super League and they took home a small silver plate. Manchester United therefore missed out on yet another trophy this season.
Foxy's sponsorship of Super League got a few frowns last year, but the bingo site has really made a big effort in making sure they take things seriously. They've given away tickets and got the backing of clubs and players in helping promote the game (and themselves) to the various audiences. We'll be keeping an eye on Foxy's FB pages for Super League promos during the season - and if you're a rugby league fan then suggest you do too.
If you've not joined Foxy then don't forget they're still offering £5 free with no deposit needed to all new players!
