With Monopoly scratchcards in the news recently thanks to a £100,000 winner we thought we'd take a closer look at a similar game on The National Lottery website. Monopoly Million gives you the chance to win up to a £1million and there are 15 chances to win on each card.
Given that the cost of a ticket is £5 it's perhaps not a surprise you have 15 chances to win - a fiver for a scratchie instant win is expensive by anyone's standard. The card is split into three games: Game 1 and Game 2 are In A Rows whilst Game 3 is a match the symbols. There's also a bonus game too.
In the first In A Row game the object is to score a total of ten by revealing the numbers hidden behind the top hats. If you score ten then you'll win the prize associated with that row. Game 2 is almost identical but the object is to match symbols hidden behind the wads of money.
The third game features Monopoly pieces - you have two winning symbols and provided you match them behind the cards then you'll win the cash prize. In the bonus game you simply click the Hasbro Monopoly man to see if there's a Treasure Chest. If there is then you win the cash prize that's also revealed at the same time.
Game play is simply click to reveal and there's no feeling of interaction or choice. The graphics are slick and it all looks very pretty. You can't argue with the prizes on offer either and The National Lottery claims there's a 1 in 2.91 chance of winning. We'd like a little more for our money though and whilst it all looks pretty at £5 a pop you may feel a bit disappointed.
