Way back in 2016 we wrote our first review on the Cash Cubes Bingo game. This 36 ball variant was a welcome addition to a number of Virtue Fusion powered brands such as Gala (as it was back then), Bet365 and Sky. This speedy game with it's 3D graphical cubes however has had a bit of chequered history with various brands dropping and picking it up like a hot potato. The good news for fans of Cash Cubes Bingo is that Buzz have now added it to their roster. How To Play Cash Cubes Bingo
The Cash Cubes Bingo Room is simple but stylish. Bathed in hues of blue you'll find game information at the top of the room, the bingo ticket in the middle and the option to purchase at the foot. The aim of Cash Cubes is to get a full house by covering all 12 numbers on your card. The card is a grid of four squares and each time you complete a square you unlock a cube. If you unlock all four cubes before all other players then you're a winner. Now that sounds like any other variation of bingo but the cubes are the game's little twist. Completed cubes are accumulated across the games you play! Once you've collect 50 cubes of a certain colour then you're rewarded with a bonus. The reason why there are different colour cubes is that you can opt to play Cash Cubes from 10p to £2 a card. The four colours are Orange (10p), Green (50p), Purple (£1) and Red (£2). The higher your ticket price the bigger the jackpots and larger the rewards.
Cash Cubes Bingo Prizes
Back in 2016 a big feature of Cash Cubes was that you could play it on tablet or mobile. As far as we know 'Cubes was the first Playtech bingo game that was released exclusively for mobile players. Unsurprisingly it's since been made accessible to desktop players so that everyone can play - and pretty much every variant of bingo is now playable on all devices. It's amazing just how far bingo has actually come in just six years. Anyway to win the Cash Cubes full house you need to cover all 12 numbers on your interlocking bingo card. At time of writing the full house prize was typically about £10 (50p ticket) . In addition to the main prize there's also a progressive jackpot. This can be won if house is called in 18 calls or less. When the progressive jackpot is won unusally the pot is shared equally amongst all players involved in the winning game.
Our Verdict
Like other speed bingo variants Cash Cubes is good fun and the perfect antidote to the 90 ball game. The design is good and works well on all devices. We do like the fact that Cash Cubes can also be played from as little as 10p a ticket although to be fair there's a whole bunch of multistakes games available now (less so in 2016). It's a popular game and attracts a good number of players although we'd love to see slightly higher full house jackpots. However we guess that may take away from the progressive and rewards elements. We do think the Cash Cubes Collection rewards aren't that attractive and we do feel very sceptical about them. Yes you do eventually get them (50p for Orange, £2.50 for Green, £5 for Purple and £10 for red) but they are scant reward for the numerous games you will have to play to achieve them. It should also be noted that the rewards you receive are also split between the bingo game and the Cash Cubes slot.
