Much has been said about Leicester City's remarkable season and with less than 10 games left to go they're on course to take The Premier League Title. Many football fans would never dream of the current situation let alone those who made early season bets backing The Foxes to win the league. However some die hard fans placed bets and those that hold their nerve could bank a few quid. However with "cash-out" some fans have already decided to cash-in on Leicester's amazing season.
Ladbrokes are reporting that one football fan has collected a cool £72k from them. He collected on a bet that his team would win the Premier League and decided to get the cash before a ball was even kicked against Watford on Saturday.
The male customer in his mid-thirties wishes to remain anonymous! He placed a £50 bet at the start of the season on Leicester City lifting the trophy at 5000/1 and after reading Saturday's newspapers about John Pryke cashing out for £29,000 he decided to also take his money and run.
Speaking from his home in Warwickshire, he commented: "I'm ecstatic, I read the papers on Saturday morning and thought it's time to cash out. Win or lose the league, I'm looking forward to the rest of the season ahead. It will mean so much if we win so there's no point in being greedy.
"The odds are constantly changing, even Chelsea could sneak into the top 4 at the last minute. I'll be celebrating tonight hopefully after beating Watford. A holiday to Spain is a certainty followed by paying off the mortgage with the winnings," he added.
The customer is £72,335.89 richer and now finds himself as the biggest cash out winner in the country. He stood to win £250,000 from his wager and would have collected the largest sum of any Leicester City backer at 5000/1 this season.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "It's a life-changing amount of money and we congratulate our customer for holding his nerve this long. He's now the richest cash out punter in the entire country and we wish him all the best."
