Unlike it's bookmaker competitors such as Betfred and Ladbrokes, lottery betting doesn't feature as highly at William Hill. In fact lottery betting is very limited and there's just six markets that you can bet on - 49's 6 and 7 ball, Irish Lotto 6 and 7 ball and the New York Lotto, also 6 and 7 ball.

William Hill Lottery

To bet on Lotteries at William Hill you need to locate the markets under the Sportsbook. Once there you'll find the six game options mentioned above. When you've chosen the market you wish to bet on you're taken to a numbers selection page. As with other bookies you can pick your own numbers or try a lucky dip.

If you wish to play 1 to 4 numbers per line then you can't use the lucky dip option which is a bit limiting. You can select up to 8 lines of up to 5 numbers and also choose how many draws (up to 8) that you'd like to play. Again these options are limiting as you can't define which draws you'd like to play. For example you may wish to play the Saturday draw for eight weeks but not the Wednesday one.

Best Lotto Odds?

Odds wise, William Hill are slightly better than Lottos at Ladbrokes. For example with the Irish Lottery six ball you can get 56/1 at William Hill for matching two of two numbers but just 54/1 at Ladbrokes. Ladbrokes though offer 650/1 for three of three numbers compared to 611/1 at William Hill. For four from and five from five though William Hill are your best bet with 8001/1 and 150001/1 for the higher end bets.

William Hill also don't host the lottery results. Instead they offer links to official sites for you to visit. There's a link to the Spanish Lottery results on the site, which is odd as they don't have a market for it.

In conclusion, lottery betting doesn't seem to be a major market for William Hill and their web offering reflects this. With just three games to choose from and limited features players may find themselves better served elsewhere. However the odds at William Hill are better on some games depending on how you're betting, so for that reason it's best not to overlook them.
