Bubble Arrives At Tombola Arcade

Article Updated On 21st September 2019

Back in July 2016 we told you about the games that you can play at Tombola Arcade, the new site from the Tombola Bingo people. Arcade features their take on slots and scratchcards but wagers are only between 5p and 1. Following a successful launch new games started being added to the roster and in September 2016 the original line-up were joined by Bubble and it's yet another simple but addictive game.

Bubble at Tombola Arcade

The Bubble lobby gives players two choices representing a bubble and a conical flask. There isn't any real difference between the two rooms other than one is set outside whilst the other in a laboratory. We'll let you discover which is which. We actually think the laboratory version looks the best, but having had a chemistry background we may be slightly biased. Which ever room you choose you're going to be playing the same game anyway.

How To Play Bubble

Wagering on Bubble starts at 5p but you can choose to wager up to a maximum of 1. We suggest if you're new to the game - or any other Tombola Arcade game - then you start at 5p just to see how it plays. With Bubble you're presented with a number of bubbles to pop. We think there's around 28. You need to click the red button on the game card to pop the bibbles. As they pop coloured marbles - red, green, blue, purple, yellow and pink - appear and sail away to their matching sections or conical flasks.

Each section represents the amount you can win should you collect the right number of coloured marbles. For example if you get 4 magenta marbles then you win back your stake. Get 9 red marbles and you pick up the top prize. Bubble gives you the chance to win a maximum of 25 to 500 based upon the amount you choose to stake (5p to 1). The prizes on offer are x1, x2, x10, x20, x50 and x500 the initial stake. Apparently it is possible to win multiple prizes. Tombola claim that Bubble has a 98.5% Return To Player percentage.

Our Verdict

Bubble isn't particularly taxing to play and doesn't involve any skill. Yet initially it is hugely satisfying clicking the button and watching the bubbles burst. It's kind of like popping bubble wrap but with the chance to win a prize. However we would like to have a "burst all" option so that the action is automatic. Hitting the button multiple times soon loses it's appeal. We did have a few small wins which did help maintain interest but these were always on the lower end of the pay table.

There are a few positives about Bubble. We like the design of the game, especially the chemistry version, and it's great to be able to play from just 5p. We would love to see different versions of the game as surely there are more places where bubbles exist. For example in bubble wrap or in the bath. It'd be also nice if there was a jackpot or instant prize element to the game - a golden bubble if you like - just to add a little more interest.
