Play The Chase Bingo - 90 Ball Bingo
Article Updated On 27th July 2021
Not content with having bingo rooms for Deal Or No Deal, Coronation Street and Emmerdale, Gala Bingo are back with yet another TV inspired game. The Chase Bingo room launched in 2016 and it's exclusive to the site. At it's heart is a traditional 90 ball game so players play for one line, two lines and a full house. However there's a twist at the end when the full house winner gets the chance to win an extra prize in the Beat The Chaser final round.
- Type Of Game: 90 Ball Bingo
- Cost: 5p to 15p a Ticket
- Open: Various Times in TV Specials
- Jackpots: None
- Extras: Beat The Chaser Bonus Round for full house winner
- Special Features: The Chasers provide the bingo calls
How To Play The Chase Bingo
The Chase Bingo is located in the TV Specials section of Gala, a section that it shares with Emmerdale Bingo. Games play throughout the day and tickets costs from 5p. The room itself is splashed in The Chase's familiar red design, but the design does feel a bit on the lite side. This is because of Gala's recent platform change! Once you've purchased tickets then you're basically playing a traditional 90 ball. The numbers are called, mainly by The Governess, and the aim is to be the player who marks their numbers off first. Prizes are awarded for one line, two lines and a full house.
Beat The Chaser Feature
At the end of a round the full house winner is invited to play the Beat The Chaser feature. This pits the player against the likes of The Governess, The Sinnerman, The Vixen, The Beast or Dark Destroyer. Before the feature starts the player is offered three prizes low, medium and high. The amounts reflect positions on The Chase board and the number of steps you are away from home. Opt for the high amount and The Chaser will be breathing down your neck as you try and reach the end of the board.
No Questions Asked
Once the starting position - and potential prize - have been chosen then the final chase begins. However before you get too excited, the bonus game is not based on your own general knowledge. The feature game results are based on randomly generated sequences so it's a pot luck bonus round. For us that does detract a little from the game as it'd be really cool to use your knowledge to play against The Chaser - but the reality is that it's probably too difficult to do. In addition the graphics of the bonus feature are pretty average. Again this may be due to the platform change but we think they could be much better!
No Bradley Walsh
Sadly there's no sign of Bradley Walsh at all within the game - we'd have loved to have seen some of his funniest clips such as the classic Fanny Chmelar question and Dick Tingelar. Also missing from the game is the music! We're not sure why this isn't there but it does add a bit more atmosphere to the game play. As is it does feel very clinical when playing The Chase Bingo on the new platform. You'll also not be playing for a community jackpot which was a feature on the original version of The Chase Bingo. On a more positive note, since launching The Chase Bingo back in 2016 Gala have added a slot, scratchcard, fun drops game and Slingo version to their roster.
So is The Chase Bingo any good? Aside from the bonus game it's a standard 90 ball room, but with The Governess doing the bingo calls. On the plus side you do get to see the bonus game in action and it does add something extra to play. Thankfully the game did survive Gala's transition to the Entain platform which could give it a new lease of life. Other sites such as Coral, Ladbrokes and Foxy for example could host the game which would mean more players and bigger prizes. We would like Entain however to improve the look and design though especially the final chase round.
