Next Arsenal Manager Latest Odds - Who Will Follow Wenger

Arsene Wenger has announced that he will step down as Arsenal Manager from the end of the season. Wenger who has been in charge of The Gunners for 22 years leaves with one year of his current contract outstanding. He told fans that "I am grateful for having had the privilege to serve the club for so many memorable years".
Despite winning The FA Cup at the end of the 2016/17 season, Wenger has struggled to get his side to compete in The Premier League. To date, they are the only side in all four English divisions not to pick up a point away from home in 2018.
Who's Favourite To Succeed Wenger?
Many felt Wenger should have left on a high with the FA Cup vistory over Chelsea. However, he still has an opportunity to depart holding silverware thanks to the Europa League. Only a two legged semi-final with Athletico Madrid is in the way of a potentially fitting ending to Wenger's reign.
As with all mangerial changes, one man's departure is a bookies dream. The hunt is on for the next Arsenal Manager, but who is favourite for the job? And more importantly, who would want the job? Arsenal are struggling in the Premier League and the wrong appointment (e.g David Moyes at Manchester United) could have a serious effect on The Gunners.
Ancellotti? Tuchel? Rodgers?
Bet365 have put Carlos Ancelotti, Thomas Tuchel and Brendan Rodgers as the early favourites to succeed Wenger. Rodgers had a decent spell at Liverpool and knows the Premier League. He would relish the chance to get back to the EPL and only a big side would tempt him away from Celtic. At 6/1 he's not a bad punt.
Ancelotti is a big name and has the credentials to get Arsenal challenging for The Premier League. He's out of work and available, but are Arsenal better off looking at a younger manager rather than one that chops/changes jobs every few years. Thomas Tuchel may fit the bill instead.
Is It Time For Patrick Viera?
Tuchel followed Klopp as manager of Borussia Dortmund. He had the opportunity to become a Premier League Manager when Southampton courted him as successor to Claude Puel. Tuchel turned that job down, and declined it again in January if rumours are to be belived. However, The Gunners hotseat may prove to be a lot more tempting than Saints!
A more risky appointment, but one we'd go for, would be Patrick Viera. He's 8/1 for the job and Wenger has suggested he'd be an ideal candidate. Viera has had success in The USA, but he's not managed in The Premier League. His lack of experience could count against him. But on the flipside he could be the ideal candidate to move The Gunners forward over the next few seasons and beyond.
A Manager Every Other Season?
Arsenal have a difficult decision to make. They've not been in this position for 22 years and football has changed. Managers like Wenger who stay in the same job just don't happen these days. The "big names" like Ancelotti also seem to only want to manage for a couple of years, then move on. Arsenal need stability and should avoid becoming a "manager every other season" club.
A good option would be Viera, but perhaps with a Director of Football assisting for a short time. In fact, if the Arsenal board had been canny they'd have brought Viera in as Wenger's assistant last season. Whatever happens, the right appointment could see Arsenal as title challengers. The wrong appointment could see them fall even further down the pecking order.
