Play Beat The Drop To Win A Million
Published On 8th June 2018
How would you like another chance to win a million pounds? Paddy Power are celebrating the forthcoming World Cup with a brand new games. It's called Beat The Drop and it's inspired by a TV quiz show of a very similar name. Even better, Paddy Power is offering all current and new customers a free chance to play!
The video above gives an overview of how to play Paddy Power's Beat The Drop. You start off with an initial £1million. You then choose your first game and the market you wish to answer on. Once you've made a decision it's then a case of splitting your pot or stake it all on your chosen answer.
Win A Million
If you get the answer correct then you move on to the next question. This process is repeated until you've answer 20 questions or you've lost all the money. The first time you play Beat the Drop, Paddy Power will give you a £1,000,000 pot to play a 20 question version of the game.
However, you can choose to pay and play - but the amount on offer will depend on the number of questions you think you can answer. The relevant terms are as follows: One free entry per customer/household to a £1,000,000 pot 20-question version of the game. Terms apply.
Beat The Drop Strategy
If you're thinking that this sounds like an easy way to win a million - it isn't. The questions are related to events that will happen in selected matches. For example, who gets the first throw in, will a team keep a clean sheet etc. In essence it's betting in reverse - and just consider how difficult it is to win a million betting normally!
As there's no definitive answers to the questions you will either have to play cautiously and split the pot at each turn or adopt a gung-ho all-in policy. If you opt to split the pot on each turn then we can tell you that you're unlikely to end up with a big pot at the end of the game.
Hedge Your Bets
Our advice is to spend a little bit of time doing some research before commiting an answer. For example if the question 'will Brazil keep a clean sheet' check out their recent form and their past form against their opponents. A few minutes with Google could make the difference between winning something and losing everything.
Note that any wins from the free play of Beat The Drop are paid as cash. This means no wagering terms apply. Firefox users may also want to try logging in with a different browser. We found that the free play pop up failed to appear. However it worked fine in Chrome.
