Play Blox Bingo - 90 Ball Bingo
Article Updated On 27th October 2020
Gamesys have introduced a new variation of the bingo game to their roster on Heart Bingo and Jackpotjoy. It's called Blox Bingo and it combines a 90 ball game with a tetris/gems style bonus round. In many respects it's an updated - and inhouse - version of Bejeweled Bingo that used to be available at the site.
- Type Of Game: 90 Ball Bingo
- Cost: 10p to 25p
- Open: From 9am
- Jackpots: Jackpot In 38 Calls Or Less
- Extras: Linked Games
- Special Features: Blox Blitz Bonus Round
Playing Blox Bingo is as simple as playing any 90 ball game. Simply purchase your tickets and then sit back to see if you can win on one line, two lines and the full house. The graphics for the bingo game are pretty cool by the way. The daubing and cards are some of the best we've seen.
At the end of the 90 ball game, the Blox Blitz bonus round kicks in. Note you do have to accept the option to play the bonus - it's not automatic and there's not a great deal of time to click. You have just 60 seconds to play. The bonus game is only available to players that have purchased 6 or more tickets. To play Blox Blitz you need to line up blocks of the same colour in lines/groups of 3 or more. This earns you points and eliminates those blocks from the grid. Collect enough points to earn free tickets for the next game.
Free Bingo Tickets
We'd love to offer a strategy for playing Blox Blitz, but there doesn't seem to be one. There's no hint option so you can find yourself staring at the screen without making a move. The only advice we can offer is that blocks can move regardless of whether they make a line of 3. Just beware that the moves can be a bit slow.
The number of free tickets you receive is based on your individual score and a community score. Note that if you go into the next game with 6+ free tickets then the bonus round won't activate. You must still purchase 6+ tickets. However, when we played we noted the odd glitch when the bonus round didn't activate - and other roomies also spotted this issue. Hopefully Gamesys will iron this out soon.
Jackpots & Linked Games
As well as the usual 1L, 2L and FH prizes, Blox Bingo offers a jackpot. This is won when a player calls house in 38 calls or less. Look out for linked games that run across both Heart and Jackpotjoy as the game prizes and jackpot increases. Tickets for the most games cost 10p each although for linked games this goes up to 25p.
Blox Bingo is a stylish adapatation of the 90 ball bingo game. In truth, it doesn't push any boundaries because it's simply a 90 ball game with a bonus round. However, the Blox game is fun and adds an extra dimension to proceedings. Judging by the player numbers already in the rooms, Gamesys have another winner on their hands.
