Rollover Bingo To Close In October
Added On 12th September 2018
Following on from the closures of ITV, Telly Talk and Bingo Scotland, Cashcade have now announced the end of Rollover Bingo. In an email to players, it's been announced that the site will cease operations from the start of October. After that, the site will redirect players to Cheeky - one of just two brands left under the old Cashcade umbrella.
Players will be able to access and play at Rollover Bingo up to the end of September. Cashcade suggest that "bonus balances are utilised before this time". Players are also urged to withdraw "any remaining cash balance in your account prior to Monday 1st October 2018". If there are any problems then players need to contact customer support.
Bringing Lotto & Bingo Together
The end of Rollover Bingo isn't a surprise. Like ITV, Telly Talk, Graces, Kiss My and Bingo Scotland it's been left to it's own devices for some considerable time. The removal of affiliates at the start of 2017 meant that no one promoted them. A site makeover obviously didn't give it - or indeed it's sister brands - a much needed boost.
Rollover Bingo launched in 2010 and it brought together lotto and bingo for the first time. Players were rewarded for depositing with free lotto syndicate lines. The site even had it's own Western themed advert. We're not sure if the concept ever really caught on - or of anyone actually won anything from the lotto lines - but Rollover did at least offer something unique.
Unfortunately for Rollover, and other brands on the network, the focus was placed mainly on Foxy and occasionally on Cheeky. Players leaving Rollover will be offered a no deposit to sign up with Cheeky. This makes us believe that Cheeky won't be following in Think Bingo's footsteps any time soon.
Think have just moved to Cozy Games so now would have been an ideal time to redirect players from Telly Talk, Rollover etc to boost the site on the new platform. Instead, players are being encouraged to stay on Dragonfish software. It'd be odd to ask players to join Dragonfish Cheeky only to then move them to Cozy Games in the near future.
What Now For Other Sites
Cashcade/GVC tend to be ahead of the curve when it comes to online bingo. The closure of brands that have been active for many years suggests they're no longer viable. If that's the case then we can summise that similar issues will arise with other networks.
Every network has a Foxy and Cheeky, but likewise they have their own ITV, Rollover and Telly Talk. In some cases there are more of the latter than the former. Keeping such brands running in the future is probably not sustainable. Therefore we anticipate that networks will start to focus on a few sites and cull those that are no longer viable.
