The Best New Bingo Sites Of 2018
Article Updated On 21st December 2018
As we approach the end of 2018 it surprised us to discover that our last new bingo site round up was in May 2017. This perhaps indicates just how things have changed in online bingo. New sites are being launched but not at the same rate as a few years back. In addition those that are coming on to the scene aren't always that exciting. Thankfully there are exceptions and here's our round up of new sites in 2018.
2018 boasted two big arrivals on to the online bingo scene. MrQ from Lindar Media was the first new proprietary site in some time. It has adopted a no wagering terms policy and offers players access to 75 ball and 90 ball bingo. There are also slots and their number is expected to expand in 2019. For players fed up with the same old same old then it's definitely worth investigating.
No Wagering Bingo
The second big arrival offers a more familiar approach but with a no wagering terms policy. Buzz Bingo opted for the Virtue Fusion/Playtech platform for their online presence. This is coupled to their offline activity through the rebranded Gala Clubs. So far we'd say that Buzz has been relatively quiet in comparison to other Virtue Fusion brands such as Sun Bingo, Gala and Mecca. It'll be interesting to see how they fair in 2019.
New no wagering bingo brands have been a key feature of 2018 and many of them have launched on Dragonfish's Real Money Network. These include Sundae, Cracker and a relaunched Loadsa Bingo. They've recently been joined by Bingo Storm and Dazzle Bingo. The relaunched Bright Bingo also made the transfer to the platform. All offer bingo tickets and spins on first deposit plus daily spins and tickets.
The most activity occurred on the Jumpman Platform. A number of sites launched on this platform, either on the 15 Network or Jumpman Slots Network, whilst many upgraded or moved from Wheel Of Slots. Amongst the newbies in this stable are Barbados, Bite Size, Lady Love and Stargaze. The revamped sites included Volcano, Lollipop and Rocket. Jumpman can also boast the transfer of Tea Time from the Cozy Games platform.
Cozy Games - or ElectraWorks as it's now known - has been quiet in terms of new brands. However, it can claim the biggest news of 2018. This is because of the arrival of Foxy, Cheeky and Think onto the platform. 2019 will be an interesting year for these three brands and their success will be pivotal to the development of this platform.
Best New Site Of 2018?
In our view the best new site in 2018 is a toss up between MrQ and Buzz. MrQ simply because it's on a new platform and actually trying something new whilst Buzz because it offers players a good range of games and promotions. Everything else is a much of a muchness and it's difficult to highlight one brand over another. Here's hoping that 2019 offers more in terms of variation.
However, we anticipate that 2019 will follow a similar path to 2018 with respect to new bingo sites. We expect to see only a handful of new additions and it'll be a surprise to see anything big. That said it would be nice to see something new from Gamesys as well as a Real Money Dragonfish brand offer something different.
The reality is that we anticipate seeing more closures than new beginnings. 2018 saw a number of sites reach the end of their lifespan. Our own Bingo House and Clucky Bingo shut their doors alongside Caesars, Rollover Bingola, Tidy, ITV, Telly Talk, Bingo Godz and Bingo Scotland. We wonder which bingo sites will still be going as we start 2020?
