Brexit Bingo Plus A New Bingo Millionaire

Ask anyone what they think is worth more to the UK economy, Netflix, Spotify or Bingo and we think most would select one of the first options. However, you might be surprised to learn that the answer is Bingo. Once again we've been delving into the news and finding some interesting bingo articles. Find out more below.
iNews reports that bingo is in fact worth more to The UK economy than Netflix and Spotify combined. Apparently the popular numbers game generates an incredible £1billion+ per year. No wonder The UK Government is keen to lamp extra taxes on to it. In contrast the digital platforms generate about £750million for The UK per year.
Million Dollar Bingo Winner
However it should be noted that these numbers are for October 2016 and September 2017. Since then online bingo has hit the buffers thanks to compliance issues and taxes on bonuses. With that in mind it'll be interesting to know whether bingo is still ahead of Netflix and Spotify now. That said, despite several site closures, bingo still grows through the likes of new brands such as Buzz and MrQ.
One person who doesn't have to worry about anything these days is David H of Milwaukee. This is because David is now a millionaire. David called a full house on the 48th and final number of an All Star Bingo game aat the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. Another bingo related success story emerged in The Sun. They report that a former bingo caller from Solihull, Amy, has quit her job to quadruple her income. She now live streams herself playing video games. We don't quite understand why anyone would pay to watch people play video games, but apparently people do - and Amy is coining in around £3000 per month. We suggest bingo clubs up their payscales so as not to lose more employees.
No round-up of anything these days can avoid Brexit. Given how long negotiations have dragged on for we really should have created a Buzzword Bingo game.
