Play Winning Headlines - 36 Ball Bingo
Article Updated On 2nd March 2020
36 ball bingo games haven't mushroomed amongst brands as much as their 40 ball or 50 ball counterparts. Cash Cubes and Bouncy Balls popped up around the same time on Virtue Fusion whilst Tombola launched Pulse. Other platforms have decided to overlook the 36 ball game, but Sun Bingo felt that it was the perfect match for their own exclusive version - Winning Headlines.
- Type Of Game: 36 Ball Bingo
- Cost: 10p - £2
- Open: 24/7
- Jackpots: Call House in 16 to 18 calls
- Extras: Headline Community Progressive
- Special Features: Exclusive to Sun Bingo
How To Play
Like many other low ball number games on Virtue Fusion, Winning Headlines is a one ticket game. You select your stake (10p, 50p, £1 or £2) and the aim is to cover all 12 numbers on your game card. The game card card comprises of 12 newspapers - and on each is either a number or a symbol. The symbols are related to The Sun and includes Sun Savers, £9.50 Holidays, TVBiz, Bizarre and Dream Team. These symbols form part of the game card and play a part in a potential jackpot.
Numbers and symbols are called as in any other online game. There's no caller though and this does make the game quite stale. Thankfully there's the odd announcement that punctuates the silence. The aim of the game is to complete your game card before any other player. There's just the one prize - and that's for the full house. However, Winning Headlines does boast some extra features.
If during the game all six symbols are called then the Headline Jackpot card is completed and the jackpot prize won. This progressive prize is a 100% community prize and is therefore shared by the roomies. When we dropped in to review the game this jackpot was just over £11 which seemed to be a little on the small side. We guess when it falls it's like getting a free game.
Thankfully there are bigger jackpots and these are the Hot Off The Press and Deadline Jackpots. The former is worth £5000 and is won in 16 calls whilst the latter is worth £500 and falls at 18 calls. Both prizes we believe are won by the player and are not shared by the community.
Winning Headlines is a decent 36 ball speed game. We like the mix of numbers and symbols on the game card and the progressive community jackpot. We would like to know how big it can go and how often it's won though! The lack of bingo caller is a real issue as it makes the game quite dull. We're not sure why calls aren't available. A chat facility does allow players to interact and side games can be played.
