Play Pix N Mix Bingo - 80 Ball Bingo
Article Updated On 18th March 2019
Bingo operators have fallen over themselves to offer players something different. They've looked at themed games and reducing the number of calls but maybe the answer has been a lot closer to home. The Pix N Mix 80 Ball room that is available on many Virtue Fusion brands actually offers players plenty of variation.
- Type Of Game: 80 Ball Bingo
- Cost: 10p/15p
- Open: 9am - Midnight
- Jackpots: Progressive
- Extras: 1TG and 2TG prizes are sometimes offered
- Special Features: Win lines can vary game to game
The Pix N Mix bingo room is available at a number of Virtue Fusion brands. At Sun Bingo it's the Heart Room whilst at William Hill it's the Party Room. Mecca Bingo give their 80 ball room the name Cashline Bingo whilst Bgo.com opt for the Seaside Room. Which ever VF site you choose to play at you'll be playing the same 80 ball game.
80 ball bingo is very much "no frills". The numbers are drawn and called in exactly the same way as a 90 ball game. The big difference is obviously the bingo card and the make up of the game. Each ticket is a 4x4 card of 16 numbers and the aim is to make up lines and a full house. As an aside, the bingo caller at Mecca sounds like he should be doing a late night lonely hearts radio show.
Different Games Each Time
Back to the 80 ball game! As this is a Pix N Mix room what you will is that there are variations each time you play. In some games, for example, you may find that the top line is covered or just the bottom line is covered. At other times all the corners may be marked off. These variations make the games move along faster - and give you a better chance of grabbing a jackpot.
Variations aren't just limited to the bingo card. Some games have 1TG and 2TG features where a cash pot is shared by qualifying players. Additionally the prizes may sometimes move around. For example a 1L winner may get a bigger prize than the 2L winner or even the full house caller.
As well as the line, full house and to go prizes on offer, 80 ball Pix N Mix bingo also has a progressive. Now this seems to vary depending where you play. The progressive at Sun and William Hill for example (currently at around £1000) is won when house is called in 38 calls or less.
However over at Mecca's Cashline Bingo there's an Elevator Jackpot and Cash Attack Jackpot. The former, currently at over £44,000 is won in calls of 32 or less. The Cash Attack pot, that at time of writing is over £3000, drops when house is called in 36 calls or less. We're not quite sure why the prizes aren't the same across the board, but Mecca's jackpot is the most attractive!
Whilst most Virtue Fusion brands have networked 80 ball games, Gala Bingo have their own exclusive room. The 1980 is essentially the same as what we've described above. However ticket purchases are limited to 30 per game. In addition Gala boasts a Thriller Jackpot. This is currently at over £60,000 and is won if house is called in 31 calls or less.
If you're getting a bit bored of 75 or 90 ball bingo, but find the themed games a turn off, then 80 ball is worth a look. The prices are a bit higher but there's usually decent prizes on offer and plenty of activity in the room. Each game offers something different so that helps maintain interest.
