Harrys Bingo Gives Up The Ghost
Added On 26th April 2019
The destruction of the former Cozy Games network continues with even more closures. We believe 14 different sites have already closed their doors during April but these have been joined by a further 4 including Harrys Bingo. Harrys, like it's departing sister site Gone, was one brand we thought would survive the ongoing cull.
Joining Harrys Bingo and many others that are closing are the following brands: Big Love Bingo, Eat Sleep Bingo, Ghost Bingo and Merlin Bingo. Over on the casino site Quackpot Casino has also shut down. Players visiting the bingo brands will now be redirected to Landmark. However visitors looking for Quackpot Casino are just shown a "site closed" landing page.
Falling Out Of Big Love
Of all the brands in this selection of closures Harrys is the biggest surprise. Like Gone Bingo, we always considered Harrys to be one of the better sites on the network. Most certainly it felt like a better option than Landmark which seems to be the current flavour of the month. Given that Gone, Harrys and Think have all fallen, there's very few brands remaining that we'd consider to be "safe".
In respect to the other closures - Ghost, Merlin, Big Love and Eat Sleep. None of these are surprises. Like our own Snappy these brands never really hit the heights. Big Love was a fun addition to the bingo world with it's Barry White-esque set up. It has sister sites in the form of Scrummy, Kelly's Eye and Bridezilla. Given that Big Love doesn't redirect to any of these we summise the future isn't bright for these other brands.
The Future Of ElectraWorks
The Cozy Games platform was purchased by GVC in 2017. Since then the platform has been rebranded as ElectraWorks. In 2018 GVC moved it's own Foxy Bingo and Cheeky Bingo brands from Dragonfish to the ElectraWorks set up. This move then triggered the closure of a number of whitelabel brands that mushroomed on the Live Bingo and Best Bingo Network prior to 2017.
Currently there are around 100 brands using the ElectraWorks platform. These include Foxy, Cheeky, Bwin, Party Casino and Sportingbet. It's with these brands that the old Cozy platform has it's future. Sadly the days of multiple sites with odd brand names is at a name - at least in this particular area. Platforms like Jumpman and even Nektan, who are considering adding a bingo product, will fill the vacancies.
